  1. After posting model pic's this week i thought i would show some of the real stuff out of the shed the first is the Case IH 1056xl with TB turbo which has been on the farm from new with still less then 2,000 hours! on the clock still does a few hours a year clearing snow etc.

The second is my 1968 Western Massey Ferguson 1130 which is still in her working clothes with a little over 8,000 hours on the clock. I have always had a soft spot for 1000 series MF tractors. But before my time we had a MF1100 on the farm from new which i would love to still find. Will post more when i find more pic's thanks for looking Martyn.

  2. You win first prize well sort of ! I found a very nice original tractor and took all the measurements and the old Britains TW20 bonnet and engine was to short this would be ok for the 7710. With a lot of cutting and filling so there was no under cuts when cast because the rubber mould would not come out then the resin also. The engine of the UH TW30 lends its self very well as UH has missed the intercooler pipe casting under the exhaust manifold which the 8700,9700,TW10,TW20 would not have had and the real only diffrences between the TW20 engine and the TW30 was the intercooler The TW30 is a whole 1in longer than the TW20 in the wheel base so not really noticable. Again with the 4wd 9700 and TW20 etc the front axle was a ZF (or ZP ok i'll put me anorak on) which was side drive driven from a large drive casting bolted in front of the left trumpet housing. Again UH missed this on the TW30 as they made this the later type centre drive and this had to be cut off and filled before casting. The front weights are of the older style that would also fit the TW 10 and 20.The rear wheel weights are also cast in resin and the base weight made to fit the UH rear wheel. The left hand diesel tank under the cab is also cut down on the 4wd model and cast in resin as the 2wd version go back to the trumpet housing. Hope this is of some help thanks Martyn.

  3. 1/25 scale all plastic kits made by Ertl in the mid 1970's they also made the John Deere 4430, IH 1466 along with a Massey Ferguson 1155 and Spirit of america MF 1155 with special stars and stripe decal set plus other custom parts. Implements were also made in kit form for these which were a four wheel wagon (trailer) and ploughs. Also at the time a John Deere 310 backhoe loader was made. Hope this helps.

  4. Okay marky heres the other side all i know is that it came from a farm in bedfordshire. i got it some 4 years ago from Cheffins vintage sale to copy to make my 1/32 scale model. you are welcome to visit. Martyn
