  1. Gav, super jealous of the land rover...
    for me,
2 pairs of Reebok RealFlex Transition 4.0Se (1 pair black and orange, 1 pair black and green) being able to wear trainers at work is really the best, £70 each but they're too comfy...

went for a cruise round the local furniture specific charity shops on Sunday, looking to replace the povvo-spec Ikea coffee table, first shop we found this, 1950s-60s g-plan astro. £45, about half the going eBay rate. excellent.

yesterday, tester pot of paint for the kitchen, which met with managerial approval, and today 2.5l of said paint for said kitchen. having painted it one colour on Saturday, and being told that it was in fact, "awful". at £25 a go 3rd time best not be the charm...

  2. trying to track down an ebay purchase. bought a new bumper for the c2, (bollard, don't ask) seller shipped it, to the right address, nothing has arrived, UPS tracking says it was delivered and shows a signature, (Not my signature!) so I do not know where the bumper is. Luckily my cousin happens to be a manager at UPS...

    this. still. feeling like this...

  4. So after a trouble free 2 years with the S2 well, the battery charging socket electrocuted me and the battery exploded, (fixed under warranty)
got my galaxy S4 coming to my parents tomorrow, I'll pick it up when i go down for the weekend, get my numbers transferred to the micro sim and off we go! really excited for it!
As for costs I'm selling them my s2 back to cancel out the upfront cost, then £33 a month for 24 months getting me 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 500mb of data. Unsure about whether my free upgrade to unlimited everything I got in February will continue though. Just bought a Case-Mate extreme case for it, and a Zagg invisible HD screen protector. I've had the previous versions of both of those on the S2 for the past 2 years and it's in pretty good shape.

  5. Wild bashers, Alex? I know the nightclubs can be rough up your way but I've never heard that to describe the clientele!! :ha ha!: better than turning the light on and waking her up I suppose :ha ha!:

Well, house coming together and due for being marketed on Saturday I think. No word back from sellers on our revised offer but there is no rush as our new mortgage kicks off beginning of July so a delay at this stage won't hurt as long as come the time to sell, it goes without haste.

bashers? been on the cider me ode?

sorry alex, that looks like a german arm to  me     scooby forester eh, not seen one of them for a while now, used to be very popular this way for farmers wifes etc

to be honest i think the scooby is edging it, more economical than the cherokee (prefer the look of the cherokee though in 1998 model). more reliable than the series 3, (as much as i want one).... something FSH and one careful mrs farmer giles owner would do me probably unless there are any other suggestions...?

  6. Hi all just checking in on here, catching up on the recent developments... apparently we are now  the "Fairy Tale Forum"!
so to enter into the spirit of things then, I won the euro millions, was elected king of France and lost my left arm fighting a wild badger. I bet you've all missed me...anyone?!

Now, down to why I'm actually really pleased, had a decent weekend betting on the football, (Wigan to beat Man city, and a 6 team accumulator, tidy) got another 12month contract at work (hurrah!), finished my NVQ in business, (finally!) and applied for a new job in work. Meanwhile Steph and I are awaiting a management company decision as to whether we can get a dog (cross fingers please), and I'm thinking about replacing the car. fancy something older, second hand, quirky... possibly room for a dog! So as i enjoy spending as much time on autotrader as possible this has pleased me greatly!

  7. congratulations harry!

As for me, yesterday took delivery of the carcass of my inherited Hayward for Vanson 1950s teak sideboard, (the drawers doors shelves and legs were already here). I promised my family food if they would cram into the car with the 2m long sideboard and my friend food if he would help me carry it up the four flights of stairs...
you've all seen the friends episode right? PIVOT, PIVOT, PIVOT.... you get the idea.
today, I assembled the sideboard, drilled 9 19mm holes  for ventilation at the top of the right hand cabinet, then one big 57mm hole for cables at the bottom of the right hand cabinet. got the xbox, skybox, router hidden in there... here it is!DSCF4300_zps27a14c19.jpg

  8. won on the premium bonds, (lost my NS&I number though, berk alert) seem to be on a bit of a streak on the gambling at the moment, I've finally given in and I'm off to look at a (possible) new car on the weekend, oh and it's sunny!

still on the streak, still waiting for my NS&I number, car turned into a cat D write off that had been repaired, (not really bothered about cat D as such)  I HPI'd it before it going. But I decided if they weren't going to be honest about that I wasn't going to risk it incase they were being economical with the truth about other aspects of the car.
