Ah thanks Alex, I don't collect trailers so I thought it was an obscure tractor from Uzbekistan or some other similar province
i needed another trailer for my small contractors, and being a Massey fan i was unlikely to buy the Claas one
-
At the risk of being thick, what is an MF200

So Alex, did you have to beat the manager with a big stick or have they managed to fix your car

well they found my car, after my dad went absolutely ape **** at them, they then wanted £400 to supply and fit a new alternator... we said whaaaaat?! they said £230 for a new alternator (when i can buy one on eBay for £125?! are you absolutely f*****g kidding me?!) then labour £80 and diagnostics £90. so i collected the car today having been rude to every member of staff i could find, paid £90 for the diagnostics and drove it back to halls. a friend has found a place in leicester that will refurbish the old alternator for £30, so i am getting the car recovered to home by green flag, then dad will take the alternator off and get it refurbished. happy days :/
lookers citroen? don't even look they're as much use as a handbrake on a canoe.

Its ok Ill save you
I got an 1135 massey that pucked its transmission in the workshop to rebuild so Ill post pictures of that as im going to start putting it back together soon and i promised the good Lord Fergie pictures months ago as well
.
On restoring the county I have a few more parts to find. I would then like to get it mechanicaly right Ie rebuild the motor and change seals. Then paint it so some time in the next few years
. I will also have to build a shed to store it in as when they are painted the sun out here is so bright it fades the paint as it dries
. So that will use some of the spare cash for restoration as well.
keep the updates coming, and obviously post pics of the massey!!
-
well, as if you didnt expect me to say this, great topic, great tractor! i look forward to future updates

Yeah I do like the look of that 40E would look even better with a cab. The 50 looks as if its been very well restored, surely that was not under £3000 was it? Is the 40 a three or four cylinder?
looks a bit cold just for a ROPS bar!
-
I think you climb in from the back, over the hitch, nice and safe!!
best have a PTO guard on that then.... some one say HSE?!
oh and also, why is there something looking like a cab step in the normal place then?!
-
40E is very nice indeed! look at the jaw line on it!
-
marky, how the hell do you get into the cab?!
-
Thanks Alex youd better not let those massey guys see you making to many comments on the Blues
.
good point. should have bought a 1080
joking. how far from being able to restore it are you?
-
really nice tractor!

One of the greatest evening's entertainment ever invented Jo.
The one i've attended a few times now in a club in York is set up as follows. On your entrance to the club the bouncers hand to you a pair of wireless headphones which you can listen to two types of music in this case "indie rock" or "cheesy pop." The two D.Js are set up on a stage beside each other and rather than the music bellowing through the main speakers so you can't hear yourself think it's received through your ear phones, all you have to do is flick a switch to listen to which ever type of music you prefer and there's a volume control too. It works on so many levels. It means you can have a conversation with your mates without losing your voice and by the same token if they're talking rubbish or simply boring you, just pop the headphones back on. It's also quite surreal taking them off and seeing hundreds of people who can't sing or dance doing it to what appears to be complete silence. The other scenario that regurlarly and drunkenly pops up is having half the dance floor endeavouring to re-enact Toni Basil's "Hey Mickey" whilst the other half are rocking out to Motorhead and "Ace Of Spades."
I love silent discos. last one i went to in liverpool i woke up hoarse with my ears ringing anyway .....
well i got in at like 430 am this morning woke up like 20 mins ago. better do some uni work!
