  1. for 1:50 http://modeltruckworld.co.uk/

    for 1:24 and 1:50 http://forum.truckmodelworld.com/default.aspx?g=forum

and http://www.24thscalemodeltruckforum.co.uk/index.php despite the name it caters for 1:50, 1:32, 1:24 but the thing is 99.9% of model lories are in 1:24 or 1:50 and its really only the lads wanting some for farms that tend to be into the 1:32 though I think years ago Esci or someone produced a 1:32 plastic volvo kit with a skelly and container but its an 80's model (I'm too young  )

  2. Amazing work - a true masterclass! Regarding the solartex it is great stuff - I and others would use it for curtainsiders or tipper covers etc on 1:24 lorries etc. I don't know if it helps any but for the likes of a curtainsider even if the solartex isn't painted its always advised to get a drop of satin clear by the likes of humbrol etc to spray on. It gets rid of the gloss finish but doesn't leave it matt - just the way a real curtain would be. I don't know if thats of any use to you or not.

I just love this combine :)

  3. Personally im not a fan of bullbars but they should sit lower (closer to the road) imo.  Also, well you know about the lights and i still believe they don't look wuite right due to the difference in scale.  But its a nice model and at the end of the day if its the way you like it then thats all that matters  ;)    Would be better if it had some blue tractors on the back but sure you cant have everything!  ;D

Going to have to get back into working on my lorries.  I've the dreaded modellers block where i just can't get going!

  4. looking tidy that jason, bit early in the mf range for me, but wouldnt say no if it was offered to me mind

UH will no doubt have theirs out soon and it will be a lot more accurate  ;D  But then wheres the challenge in that ;D

Have to respray the nose as whilst the paint was wet it fell...outside...onto the dirt  :'( so i'll have to rub it down and go again

  5. I bought a UH 35x 1:32 a few months back and had it stripped down within a few hours running into some tricky bits like the working steering which gave me no option but to cut through it to free the steering wheel and therefore the 'dash'.

I will keep it simple, all i will do is change the exhaust, remove air filter, add another battery beside the seat and change the colours and thats it.  Last night i brush painted most of the chassis with a revell metallic - it seems quite thin and flows really well otherwise i wouldn't have dared use a brush.  I added a few bits back on for these pictures:

  6. I like it.  Not gone overboard - good job  ;D

couple of tips though - most of your dirt appears to be on the rubebr tread bits, instead of inbetween where its more likely to be becasue it would stick there, a bit like this (even though its a bit extreme) http://stockpodium.assetsdelivery.com/thumbnails/sima/sima0806/sima080600045.jpg

also i wouldn't bother putting muck on the exhaust because on the real thing (if it is above the bonnet like this one) it is rare that dirt will be flying up that height especially so far forward

but theyre just little pointers, as i say i still think its a very good job you've done there  - keep it up!  ;)
