  1. at 4:30 today i had a jd 6410 and a jd 5820 sitting next to each other and by 7:00 they had become 1 i started by removing the front wheels from both tractors and then removing the front axel from the 5820. i had to cut off the mudgards so that the wheels from the 6410 would fit that then left me with this because the holes in the centers of the wheels were to big to be a good fit on the axels i drilled them out a few mill and put in a bit of tube next i fitted the wheels onto the axels and made the mounting bracket, as you can see there isnt a masive amount of differance in track width all thats left to do now is to remove the front axel on the 6410 and put the new one on so thats what i did after doing that i looked down at the 5820 shortly followed by my watch then thought to my self tea wont be ready for a while yet so i started cutting gagain and then eventualy ended up with this tell me what u all think.

  5. here are some pics from a few weeks back when i went for a bike ride with my camera first off just finished harvesting some osr then on to baling winter barley and finaly harvesting winter barley
  6. started this the other day but ran out of material so i couldnt do any mor to it untill today when i got some more this is not like the flat 8 bale sledge because this one holds 3 bales on the bottom and then another 3 on top like this === first of all here is the rather poor quality picture that i have been working from witch was taken about 8 years ago and here is what it looked like this morning followed by a few pics of how it works as you can see i still need to find some wheels for it and this is what it looked like by the end of the afternoon if any one has any info on how the gate at the back works or any pictures of it please let me know as i havent got a clue
  7. trust me it wasnt the easyest build in the world and i got rather stuck at one point when i was trying to make the front crumblers because the ones on the sides i actualy had to make the frames and also the ends of them out of some scraps i had laying about but it worked and i am very pleased with the result
  8. thanks for the comments and here is the link for people that missed it when i was making it http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=11118.0

  11. i havent done that much on it over the last few days apart from adding a grain chute on the back well its harder for me to get my hands on the stuff because you live closer than me so you just have to walk down the road o well you do come in handy for when i want to know when they have new stuff in ;D
  12. have been working on this over the last few days but have now run out of plastruct so cant do much more at the moment well untill tommorow when im going to get some more supplyes tell me what you think so far
  13. because of the nice weather we have been having over this weekend i thought i would get the old spray cans out
  14. you can probably see the little locking system i made to stop them from articulating when in transport position in pic 2 its just 2 bits of wire made into a little hook and eye system because the system they use on the real thing would have been so small i wouldnt have been able to make it lock into position but im very pleased with how it turned out and the only bit that was actualy hard to make was the frame for the hydrolic rams that lift the side rolls up because they have to be in the exact right position or they wont fully fold or unfold
  15. for the measurements i have just been working them out by eye and i have been using the pics that i took last weekend http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=14927.0

  21. dont realy know when it will be finished because i am now comming to the harder bit like making the turbines and all of the webs that take the beet from the turbines and into the tank and then a bigger one that unloads the beet
  22. finaly managed to get some as u can see i need to raise the back a bit to make it level but i will do that after the next supply run because i thought i still had some bits left so i didnt bother getting any bits that size. first of all the tank rams the full machine topper and lifting unit up and down harvesting position and road position
