Welcome David, nice to see another IH fan joining up oh also who is John Deere? Never heard of them.
-
I think a black Deere looks rancid, but having said that you have done a great job on spraying it and as you say it was play worn so you have given it a new lease of life looks new and shiny again, will look good when the wheels are done up in silver and some nice convo decals are added.

Blimey a few quid did change hands probably out of my price range but I would of liked to have looked through that lot.
Was the photos from early DB or was it a mix of old and new DB?
Thanks for posting.

The Deutz is a great looking model might even get it.

Yeah top model that.

David Brown were the first tractor manufacturer to offer a safetey cab, way before any legislation on safetey cabs and roll bars came in, early ones were 'Victor Sta-Dri' and were offered as metal clad or canvas, the canvas could be rolled up and over from the back to the top of the windscreen specifically for tractors that were used with a rear end loader or the David Brown ditcher digger.
You are a mine of DB info Tim, very interesting reading your posts.

It is a US brochure I do believe Ronald - pretty sure there is one in my collection too.
Nice brochures, can you tell me some more about this great Ford TW brochure? In which country is it published, brochure code? I have never seen it before, that's why I'm asking.
Regards, Ronald
Yes sure I will have a look later for you but I think Nashmach is right.
Nashmach did I sell that brochure and a load of other Ford brochures a good couple of years ago as I recognise your name?

You'd probably struggle to find one for sale? Hopefully there are still some about but they will be rare.
What model review should I do next, any pointers? I was thinking about the Beinlich irrigator but Hillview already did an excellent report on that.

Well mine appear in Classic Massey Magazine... but for those too tight to buy a copy... here goes... and in this particular order
1. MF240 (Multi-Power) ... the ultimate MF35/135 basically....
2. MF5480 - my daily ride
3. MF178 - the ultimate 100 series model for me
4. MF699 - the grunt to pull a house down and a great cab.. if only it stood the test of time
5. MF3085 - the best cab to date.... and a tractor way ahead of it's time with the Dyna 4 box and a great power to weight ratio !
I drove a 3095 on harvest one year she was minto

Very odd looking Tractor I did know of these but I would be interested in how many of these were produced in MF colours and how many they actually sold, I honestly think its an ugly duckling interested to hear more on these though.
-
To be honest you should contact these magazines and ask, then let us all know how you get on.
-
Try Tractor and Machinery pal.
-
Based on some of what I have driven as I can't believe you can't put down anything unless you have driven any of them. I have a loads I would put down but this has to be my hand picked 5.
