  1. Hi chaps,

Just finished my latest convo, this time it's a Marston 22 ton trailer I think,  could be 26 ton as them britains trailers are a little large ???.  Was a pain in the arse to make but I think it looks ok. Anyway as you can see from the pics made it into a tri axle and also made it so you can remove the silage sides and tail gate for when grain carting etc, :D Also added a few little extras like Air brake lines and hoses, hydraulic hoses and a few more lights. The pics will explain it better than me ha ha!. Anyway what do you guys think good or bad I am thinking a little to large perhaps ;D  ???

    Cheers

  2. I have thought about making a conversion on a old Britains Claas Jag but have never gotten round to it. A quick fix though is to put a Siku MF or Fendt combine head on the Siku JD 7400 or 7500 chopper. Dave Towse does a OSR draper head to harvest rape after it's been swathed though.

  3. Hi Rick,

Looks like a 1/32 Ros New Holland TX 66 Combine. Not that common a combine I don't think in the model world, but in 1/1 scale there quite common here in the UK. They are quite good, detail being ok has wing mirrors, beacons etc. The quality though isn't so good plastic is rather delicate and brittle I find. This may be a dumb question but what is a skinny?

Also Rick do you have any info on the 1/32 Ertl/britains New Holland CR 960 combine are these common or quite hard to find now. How many where made and are they still being made. Just bought one so want some general info on them. Can you help?

    Thanks

  4. Hi Fenboy,

Rootcrop buckets. We use them for cleaning and loading potato's before we feed them to the cows. Ours is made by Strimech and is completely made of the grill/bars except for the sides. Check out www.strimech.co.uk as there is a pic of it on there. As for a 1/32 model I haven't got a clue who could make one. I might try it in a few weeks as it doesn't look too hard to make.

  6. Hi IHP,

Just wondering if you wanted to sell anymore items out of your bargain boxes. As I am after a few bits to finish some projects.

    I am wanting:

1/64th JD Field Cultivator. It's upside down in the bottom left corner of the box.

Siku Green and black discs. Bottom right next to the green seed drill.

Black trailer chassis. Top Right hand side.

Blue and white siku drills. Just want the hoppers if i can. Scattered around the box ha ha!.

    Britains sutton yard brush.

Let me know if you want to sell any.

    Thanks

    Nathan

  7. TOG if I was you I'd make it into a Marshall 105T or 155T Rotospreader both are on twin axles. We use 2 Marshall 105's at work one on oversize singles and one on normal twins. It's an option you can have on the 105 the 155 has to have twin axles due to the wight. As for what tyres I would use them of the Tim Kroger Agroliner trailer.

    Hope that helps

  8. Yep the joskin Quadra is a very good model I would say it was 1 of my models of the year ha ha!. I remember when I first bought it when it came out I loved it, it was always on display hooked up to the tractor. Also like Gardener Jake said the injector system was good to I made mine into a Umbilical slurry system just by making a hose reel and slurry pump was great fun.
