Excellent models.  What resin do you use as it seems to cast quite a thin section?

Hi Andy, sorry for the late reply. Thank you! I use a fast cast resin to get parts cured and ready for assembly quickly. The thin sections are a challenge and it really doesn't have anything to do with the resin, more about how you pour it into the mould and how to disperse any air bubbles. Thin sections are filled first when the resin is at it's easiest to pour. I try to use open one part moulds as much as possible and stretch the mould open to let the resin flow into it. It's all a bit trial and error to be honest.

Been tinkering with weathering. I had a lot of help and advice from Paul (valley axe man) who has a 16th scale scammel lowloader and from Sam at Cheshire farm models who gave me good advice on the weathering. The nature of their job means even a brand new lowloader wouldn't stay clean for long so an old one would look knackered. Still a little bit of finishing of to do like pipes and a set of wheels so I can return these to the britains cattle and mixer lorry a that are currently sat on axle stands but think it looks ok for a first attempt.

Very well done Martin, still to try weathering myself, but every time I see something like this it makes me want to dive in

It does Dosent, also the county brochure shows 1184 titles and specs but all the pics show 1174 machines? Is this a error?

I have the same brochure, County updated the FC1174 with the TW engine in 1980 as far as I know and made it the FC1184. Print wise, probably cheaper for them to update specs instead of designing a whole new brochure. Although Martin has a slightly different brochure to mine come to think of it.

Latest toy has finally arrived :D 1985 Ford 7710, I've always liked 7710s and always said i'd get one one day and today was that day. Non original engine and hours unknown but its a tidy enough tractor and fine for what i need. Only broke down once on the way home :( Battery was knackered and died on a corner, luckily coasted to a layby right outside my good friends house. Think of the chances of that!!
