  1. nice pictures pete, nice looking kit

ye we are spoilt with it

Nice photo's Pete. It is good to see another year being taken by the TX34, tidy example they have there  :)  As for those two Deeres and the new plough. . . . smart!  8) Those Trio's are a damn good bit of kit. They do a grassland subsoiler now which I think someone is keen to try out. . . just have not got a tractor big enough to pull it!

i another year and she is still going strong and she is worth nearly as much as we paid for her.must admit my mates are spoilt for kit. think i drve the smallest trctor out of all of us and thats the 6830 which might be being replaced with a 6930 early next year depending on the trade in price.

my mate rates the trio only gripe is the way it chomps up the metal,he has been welding old digger web on it to last longer if he does that he is getting 80acres till he has to change it.

  2. well spoke to one of my other mates craig on the phone a few times but he was working all the hours with his new sumo trio 3 with drill on top for rape. there aint main in our area so he is run of his feet. but he did phone one night saying he was heading home if i want to see his new machine. so of i poped up to his farm to see the new machine along with his replacement for his as he puts it terrible fergie that replaced a 6920s jd that was chipped. the replacement was a 7930 10 plate that he has now chipped it only had 500hrs on the clock when he got and he has put another 1200 on it since last october

  3. well got a few more pics of the good camera today so thought i would post them. first up is my mates 8530 with there new kv eo/lo plough it is only a 6 furrow reverseable as the 7 was going to be too heavy for the 7920 as it is fully mounted. it has been bought to be used with the gps and can be ploughed in the fur or on the land as he was doing as both the 85 run 800's beast of tyres. this was only the second day it had been used. normaly he pulls a 10 furrow reverseable that is some outfit.

  4. Some nice new additions to the farm Peter. Sounds like you had a good holiday back home.

was a realy good holiday should have taken my camera more as saw loads of my mates when they were working so missed out on a few pics there mainly fendts and deeres. but on the plus side did get alot of time on the tractor myself. spoke to young allan who said he will be going to glams this year and said he will more than likely see you.

    got many cows there Pete?

we got rid of the beef cows about 12 years ago mate but we have as they call at the farm a hobbie heard of charolais. there has always been charolais at firhills since about 1940 i think. we now have about 40 cows/hefors in total and at the moment 2 bulls for breading and about 8 that will be going to carlise or stirling sales as perth has stopped trading.

  5. had a good few days carting of from the combine but didnt alays have the camera which was stupid but did have it one of the best days monday the 29th August condition couldnt really have been better. a slight wind had dried the barrel perfectly through the night so much so we got started at 0930hrs and it was coming of at 15.6 on the moisture meter. we managed to cut about 40 acres that day which to the lads with the big combines isnt much butto us with our tx 34 and 18ft header is a good days work. the old girls days may be numbered as we were looking at tx68 in farmers weekly and the internet and at firhills unless it is being considered seriously.

my yoke for the past 3 seasons the 6830

  6. also in the grain shed was the new feed wagon that came home in Jan and also the new(to us) the dryer. we used to have a dryer at one of the other farms but it was old and was not worth repairing. as we have the new big shed at firhills it made more sence to buy a portable dryer.
