    Hi,

Be aware that the 1490 has an open bonnet-nose, while the 1390 doesn't

And a different wheelbase, engine and frame size. About the only thing UH got right with the 1394s apart from the cab is the engine which is same as is in the 1494 which carried over the 1490 engine - the same as the earlier DB 14 series.  The 1390 engine is carried over from earlier 9 series. They should be doing a 1390 but really need to start from scratch! Good start would be to do 1/32 version of 995/6 that they do in 1/16.

By my maths that’s about 4.76mm. I can’t really blame them for not doing a new casting on that one.

It’s the casting that worries me most as the frame on the 1394/990 etc was smaller - as was the axle. They have the 1/16 990 that they should scale down for the casting - and if they did they’d have multiple other possibilities.   Let’s hope they do get it right.  Otherwise who else will do them?

  3. I’ve taken an impressive Iconicair resin kit of the DB RAF tractor, painted it in Hunting Pink and added a few extra details to transform this model into what I’d say was a pretty realistic 1/32 model of the DB Industrial Tractor.

First time using colour match spray cans and really happy with results. Light lenses from AK Interactive and decal courtesy of Martin at G&M Originals.

  4. I guess we will get UK versions of the yankee ones on the flyer. The T7000s shown were blue versions of puma 195 & 210 USA dealer specials.  The UK puma 210 is much nicer on chunky tyres so I expect the blue version of this to be a corker ;D

Also Case Magnum335 :o   The real machine hasnt even been launched in europe yet!

Quadtrac will probably be 530 euro version and will definately be heading my way ::)

I hope UK Maxxum 140 looks better than USA version >:( that looks cr*p >:(

Couldn't agree more - Ertl have done really well with all the recent Case models and the 140 looks just like a rebadge - missed oportunity to get the Maxum right i would say!!! Come on Ertl!!!

  5. Agree that its a good model - possibly one of the best recent ones from Britians. Only two gripes - firstly that the roof detail is wrong - should be a 'overhead vision panel' like on the MXU, and secondly that there should be extended arches on over the rears. All in all though a good one. :) :)

  6. Fine job PDC!!!! I thought about doing that myself but the more I started looking at the shape of the bonnet and particularly the grille I thought better of it and hence the appeal to Britains!!!! Cracking model though.

  7. I've been really impressed with the MXU125, MX310 and Puma 210 models that Britains have produced recently. Seeing as CNH has revised the CVX range - is there a prospect of Britains/Ertl producing a new CVX model to match the quality of detailing on these other models rather than using the basic base and bonnet used on the current model of the CVX1150? :( :( :( :(

  8. the problem i am faceing is the rear wheels

as the red ones (even my 1294 should have)

square centres so if anyone does the size as on the

1294 but square centres please show me how to do them  :'( :'( :'(

    ;);D

If you're going for the Britains Ford size of wheels the wheels from the Elite CX80 could be used for a 1294 - better for white but could be used for red - although I still think that the 990 wheels are about the right size for a 1290.

  9. Well finally managed to get around to trying this. Got the bonnet off both. CX80 bonnet staight forward as you described. To get the UH bonnet off however I had to remove the cab as the dash is screwed into the underside of the bonnet. Slight split in the windscreen now - doh!! Fit for scale but the UH casting will now have to be filed down a bit as the Britains bonnet is a thicker cast than the UH one. Looks good for scale. Hopefully get some more time to finish it off and post results sometime soon. :) :)
