  1. First chance to take this one outside and get some photos of the T8 also included the UH New Holland Combine in one.

I'd quite like to get a hold of some Sumo front weight boxes for this and my other 1/32 tractors.  The brass and resin ones are nice, but a tad pricey!

  2. I've had these two for quite a while, but never had an opportunity to take photos of them outside in the sun ...

I really struggle to get the header to stay off the floor, tightening the screws works, but only for a while.  Catch it and the header drops.  A pity the bin doesn't open up on this one.

These were my first models I had bought outside of aviation ones.   They are the closest I could get to being able to recreate the harvest scene in the final picture.  Just short of that trailer now

  3. Universal Hobbies Platinum Jubilee edition 8S.  My local Massey / Ferndt dealer didn't respond to my enquiries and luckily fellow forum member hody21 suggested contacting RVW Pugh.  I'd seen the real deal on their stand at the Royal Welsh Show.  They were really helpful and I finally got my hands on this yesterday.  I had hoped it might be dry weather and good enough to take it outside to photograph as I did with my 8S.265 but weather has not been kind and so it's shown here in the packaging.

I think an 8S may have to join my fleet - lovely photos by the way

Thank you.  It was glorious sunshine on Saturday when I went, but by the time I got back home, the sun had disappeared.  Sunday it rained nearly all day and it wasn't until late on the sun came out and I was able to get some photos, before the 8S went in to the model cabinet.

Its a fair shop at Ingleton isn't it, you can spend a fortune in there quite easily.

It is.  It's quite a trek to get there too.  Yes, it can be easy to spend a fortune.  My wallet was lucky this time as they didn't have what I had been looking for in addition to the 8S!

  6. I am currently trying to get a hold of the MF8S Platinum Jubilee edition, but in the meantime picked this up yesterday from Hillside Toys in Ingleton.  Only managed to get a couple of photos before it started raining.   A local farmer has recently added 5 8S's to his fleet, moving away from green to red.  Hoping to catch those in action for real when drilling is done

It's a nice combine,  but agree it's a shame the grain tank doesn't open.  One of the firms did make a 'lid' you could sit on the top of it but I don't think it's available anymore.

The Britain's Vaderstad Rapid occasionally comes up on ebay, the UH implements are harder to find but may come up eventually.  It's a shame they haven't reissued them though, they are very popular.

    Thanks.

I've been looking on Ebay for the Vaderstad Rapid and Carrier. I did see a Horsch cultivator a few weeks back, but at the time did not realise that it was something I had seen on the back of the T8.  I had been so used to seeing it with a Sumo Trio 4.5 behind it and it was only after I saw my photo again, that I realised they had a Horsch too.DSC03372.thumb.JPG.9d75df38ba9dc573c7e1b2126f9a3792.JPG

  8. I'm new to farm models really.  A couple of months ago, I just got an urge and condensed my Model Aircraft collection, freeing up a shelf in my cabinet.  I had been looking at photos I had taken over the past few years and came across the one below and wondered if anyone did a model combine like that in my photo and similarly the tractor.  The Fendt Vario was the easy one to find.  The New Holland combine not so easy, It's not a like for like to my photo, though it is close enough.  I found mine on Ebay, brand new in the box.  I think like many, I am a little disappointed the bin doesn't open up, but I'm impressed with the quality of the model.

I've most recently acquired a MarGe New Holland T8 and am on the look out for a Vaderstad Rapid 600 or Vaderstad Carrier or Horsch Cultivator to recreate another scene. I know they've been done in 1/32, but they're not recent models
