  1. Well the Saturn 2 8k has arrived. Unboxed, Not setup as yet. I've opted to make my own Alcohol wash station, using two tuppaware boxes and a deep fat fryer mesh basket, but they aren't here yet, so no printing at the moment. Figured its the cheapest way of getting to grips with it, rather than opting for a machine. That may come in time, but not sure Ive downloaded Lychee slicer as it seems to be the one a lot of people use with this style of Resin printer. Going to need to figure it out and a bit of trial and error I think, but my 3d objects have zero issues, so that a good start. Hopefully get printing this week and see what happens
  2. Thanks man. Appreciate it. Feel like I’m on catch up 👍
  3. Thanks for the heads up. I have remodelled the tyre, a bit smoother now. Worked on the text, but Im going to leave that for now, no point worrying about the print capabilities until Im ready to press print. I can always tweak it if needed. I may even do it indented, rather than extruded on the surface.
  4. I designed this Murray Stone Fork last night just from photos. I know the width from the website, so the rest just through trial and error. Not bad as a start. I have finalised ant connecting points as yet. I know there is a difference between models and want some time to ponder what to do.
  5. I'm having fun with Tyre treads. Not really done much with Array tool, but Im loving this. My first proper tyre with tread. I need to smooth some edges, but I think I have the basic shapes. Now, where is that Michelin TRAILXBIB and CARGOXBIB Thread pattern. 😛
  6. Thanks for the feedback. I have seen it and I will be posting on there when I begin(probably later in the summer
  7. Decided to utilise my 3D modelling skills learnt whilst creating mods for FS17. I hadn't realised that 3D printers had got so wholesale so I decided I'll give it a go. I just need to finalise some measurements against actual models and then get the printer and start messing about I think. I'll be sticking with Plasticard/Plastrut and Brass for some parts as well. I think Im going to enjoy this. Suggestions welcome 😉
  8. Hi Mike, Absolutely. I had a great time catching up with folk.
  9. Hahaha. You wouldn’t have a downstairs toilet. That’s valuable model and diorama space🤣
  10. Hey Sean. Thanks for the message. Yes I know what you mean. Im sure there is downstairs toilets all over the uk with tractors on the wall🤣 I might have to make a 1:32 reference t-shirt. I’ll get thinking Im sure I’ll be in touch once I buy a 3d printer with you and Joe. It’s great you post updates and everyone can learn. I suspect I have lots of frustration and rewarding times ahead.
  11. Hi Jack, Yes that's right. Thanks for the feedback. I have remodelled the West in 3D. I did it for FS17 a few years ago, but never released it, just did it for myself. I'm tweaking to see how best to produce it and whether I can 3D print parts of it. I think the best results for any model will be a mixture of Plasticard, Brass and 3D Resin Print. Maybe with some Aluminium CNC, but not sure about costings. Im not doing it with a full release in mind. Its more to feed my habit of designing and making stuff. I don't think I will return to the days of thinking I was going to go full production and take over the world. I don't want too.
  12. Cheers Joe. I know, long time, great to see so many people still enjoying the 1:32. Since I left I see you can no longer afford to pull models apart 😳😱💰💰💰
  13. It’s been a few years away but after the show I’ve just done at Spalding, I’ve scratched an itch I didn’t know I had. Agrium Models and all that was, has gone, as most know some of it is under the guise of Modelfarmer All good. Ihave my drawings website which has now morphed into merchandise, covering products like clothing, drink ware and phone cases and that’s good too. at this stage I’m energised to start making some scratch built stuff. At this stage I’m not thinking full on, taking orders etc, but in my time away from modelling I have become fairly proficient in 3d modelling for Farm Sim, so I’m currently making my own 3d models in Blender with a view to get a 3d printer and start to make some bits and bobs, mixed in with restocking my plastic are and brass stock. you’ll hear from me from time to time asking questions and you may see a bit more of me at the shows and I’m sure I’ll have batches of things for sale ill comment and contribute as much as time allows but I have a full time job and family and my own business so it’s pretty full on cheers Ian
