  1. A few of the combines arriving on the Friday night.
  2. This was an event I was looking forward to all year. On my journey down I saw a few combines on the way. Still a few miles to go yet.
  3. Combines 4 Charity Ltd was formed in 2009 by a group of 10 cereal famers to establish a new Guiness World Record and raise money for charity. Our original aim was to have 100 combines cutting 100 acres however we ended up with 184 combines working simultaneously and raised €300,000 for our chosen charities namely Barnardos, Self Help Africa, The National Rehab Hospital, and the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre. However our record was broken in 2010 by the Canadians who had 200 combines working and with Irish pride at stake we are having another record attempt on Saturday July 21st at Duleek Co. Meath where we are hoping to have at least 250 combines working in the same field! In 2010 Combines 4 Charity Ltd raised a further €100,000 for our chosen charities with a Monster Draw where first prize was a John Deere tractor. In 2010 we entered into a share farming agreement on 100 acres. The idea is that we farm this on a voluntary basis with the support of other cereal growers, chemical companies, local grain merchants and neighbours. Monies raised through farm sales will be donated to our chosen charities. Taken from www.combines4charity.com Due to the recent bad weather the combine record was put back a week. It took place yesterday (Saturday 29 th July) with a new world record of 208 combines taking part. It was an amazing sight to see with old and new combines working together. Well done to all involved.
  4. Thank you for your answer. That is helpful.
  5. What materials did you use to give your yard a concrete / stone look? It looks really good.
  6. This is excellent. It is so realistic. Can I ask how you created the yard effect?
  7. Good topic Chris. I've tried quite a few makes and I've found Flexothane to be one of the best. They are reasonably priced. Fishermen type waterproofs are good but aren't suited to warm wet weather. I have bought Regatta coats recently as I find alot of other waterproofs don't last long and have inlet holes under the arms which only lets the rain in.
  8. What there any machinery that impressed you at the show?
  9. Great pictures Brian. Some amount of machinery there.
  10. I like the Feed mixer Olly. Do you have any more pictures of the pumpkin harvester?
  11. Some nice pictures and tractors Chris. I never knew they did a high vision roof on the 4255 model.
  12. Excellent layout. So much detail. I look forward to future updates.
