neilw
Are there any mounted versions of Topdown, Solo, or are they all trailed??
ploughmaster
All trailed - any machine that length and weight will be as they would be too much for most three point linkages (even the smallest 3.3m Solo weighs over 6 tonnes), and the overhang would probably mean needing a lift capacity at the link ends of Lord knows what (20 tonnes??), plus you would need a front weight the size of Bedfordshire to keep it on the ground. . Eurodeere
The Sumo trio is a mounted machine that mix deep tines and discs. McConnel, Simba, Agrisem and Cousins make similar machines with a number of other companies make them also. In 1/32 you will soon be able to use an Agrisem combination from Replicagri. Lord Ferguson
is it not a fact that with some of these machines they are towed by the three point linkage... but not designed to be lifted as such

They are towed through the soil to cultivate it then at the end of the fieldd the three point hitch is used to lift the machine out of the ground and allow the tractor to turn through 180° The machnie is then lowered by the three point linkage into the ground along side the previous pass. No need to keep passing over the same ground, each pass is over fresh soil. Sometimes I do wonder about what level of education and intelligence we are at on this forum

ploughmaster
The Sumo Trio is hardly in the same class as either the Solo or Topdown though . It is a lightweight machine by comparison, for doing a lightweight job on light to medium soils.
