tracks + tyres, or just tracks....

Following on from a previous tracks and tyres topic, it occured to me if your having a big push to get an area cultivated (for example if your a contractor wanting to get in and out, or needing to get seed in before the weather turns etc...) and you have one tracked and one wheeled tractor, is it better to plough with tracks, harrow/cultivate with wheels, seed with tracks, roll with tyres, (i.E spread the compaction over the area) or do as much as poss with just the tracks??? Common sense says you'd do as much with what ever machinery is available, but would the wheels compact the ground that the tracks have left OK??
