Deere-est
You want to go to a garden centre Tim, ask for 'hanging basket liner'. Some sell it by the metre off of a huge roll, others in sheets in a pack. Then pop to a DIY store and buy some baton, whatever size you want. Then PVA the liner to the baton and cut off any excess. david_scrivener
I have several old sections of German Elastolin hedges which are quite good, strips of loofah, fixed to a wooden lath, and sprayed green, plus a few coloured spots to represent flowers. Obviously these were toys, 'done to a price', so I'm sure a home modeller could improve on the basic principle.
