Working with brass and soldering

Hi. I know you've all probably answered this question 100's of time, but does anyone have tips on working with brass and soldering?

- how to get a good strong accurate solder

- best equipment to use

- good materials to use

- any other tips

- when to use brass and when to use plastic

It is aimed more at the model engineer/ scale steam enthusiast but gives a very good explanation of different aspects of soldering and brazing.
