Is End Aug, early sept W OSR, End Sept early oct for W Wheat, End oct early nov W Barley. Jdeere6910 Posted March 13, 2011 Share Posted March 13, 2011 When we grew rape we always tried to have finished combining by august bank holiday and the rape drilled up to about a week after that. we are on heavy land so dont grow spring crops but we aim to be drilled up by mid october if the weather lets us, otherwise the plants dont seem to get a good start Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pingu Posted March 13, 2011 Share Posted March 13, 2011 4th week in august for Rape is ideal we drilled some in first 8 days of September this year and its the worst on the farm :'( Wheat depends on the land middle september for first wheats then up to 10th October (ideal) for second wheats.
