Jdeere6910 Posted June 17, 2011 Share Posted June 17, 2011 I often think that about machines at 3rd cut silage However on the muck note, we are a smallish mixed farm, and the cattle muck is a really useful fertiliser, especially with the duck muck we have our fert bill is a lot less. I agree the fuel and time etc is a lot however the muck is a by product from the cows which earn money and also the straw which is from our arable crop anyway just what we find really, might be different for any other farm, but it works for us Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
