Light Land Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 1)As I've said before kiwi farmers like to use trucks and keep there stock outside,here's a picture of my works old tip truck and some of the milkers standing on there feed pad were they have been eating palm kernal and a bit of hay.(We've run out of silage) 2)Few calves happy to be indoors. 3)The farms New Holland TS135A getting a few bales to shut the girls up.A sick cow that was given to the my boss when he brought the farm is happy to be able to sleep in the hay shed while it's white out side. 4)Bringing a few girls ready to drop down to lower ground in nearer the milking shed.It started snowing a few hours after this picture was taken. Light Land Posted August 15, 2011 Author Posted August 15, 2011 There was a time when sheep were king on these winter wet summer safe hills but this shearing shed and house have been empty for many years now as dairy farming is seen by most to be the way forward now. Quote
