Right.... I have been asked to ask a question of people... I have been trying to persuade my father for years to by a rubber track crawler, we have tested them etc and although the newer mt series drive alot better the 755 second hand is still at least £70k... we only want a max of 300 hp on tracs for pulling cultivators not ploughing.

The older claas 35-55's like the older JDs are based on tractors, however the back ends go... but they are only about 35k.... The neigbours have all had them but now are on the new ones so the question is what are peoples opinions... Would an older one be ok or would you fork out for a 5 yr old one with 5000 hours on it but an mt755??? thanks for comments and advice....

As long as the gearbox on a 35-45-55 is ok you'll be fine. They tend to break at 5-7000 hrs and its an expensive repair. Otherwise fine tractors for not to much money. They do the same job as an MT700 basically but for a lot less money. If you're doing lots of acres then the bigger cab is probably best. Spares readily available.
