Brewingale
Can anyone give me any info on when they changed from rubber band ejection to no- rubber band ejection. Also how rare are ones with green metalwork. Be grateful for any comments.
powerrabbit
This was the first baler from Britains and was available from 1967 to 1970. It came in a cardboard sleeved box with 6 rubber straw bales. From 1971 to 1979 the rubber band was discontinued and the box changed to a window box. It was between these dates that the more unusual green painted chassis was around, not particularly rare but more difficult to come across than the other colours. The non-rubber band models had varying colour chassis, blue, green and brown. All had blue wheels but the rarest version to find is one with yellow wheels. That's as much as I know about them. A good source of information is the book by David Pullen titled Pocket Guide To Britains Farm Model Balers and Combines 1967 - 2007. Still available from Old Pond I think, also look through the ads for books in the Tractor and Machinery and Classic Tractor mags.
