CLAAS Axion 850

Heres the second Claas tractor upgrade Ive been working on and its the new Axion 850 "Tractor of the year"  and certainly a top looker.

 

The basic USK/Norscott model is pretty decent but not upto the Wiking standard.

 

The changes made were, new roof beacons plus an added radio aerial, black painting of the chrome exhaust , new rubber tyres allround to replace the cr*p originals, front weight off the wiking 650 model (which is too big for the 650) as the standard weight for 850 is too big for it ha ha!.

Painting detail around rear lights, four coats of Claas red spray paint on wheels, painting matt grey of various unsightly rivets(same as 650 model)

 

The new tyres are perfect for this model and were pinched from a Schuco Fendt 724 (Same as JD7810)...................the chrome exhaust only looks good on dark coloured tractors IMO such as NH blue power and Black Fendts,  Bright coloured tractors such as this don't need extra gimmicks!

 

I Have to say Im very pleased with this model now it really looks right................I just hope one of the local  farmers buys one of the real machines as well so I get to see it working nearby.

Good question.........................I will have to attempt to modify my UH Lemken plough to fit the wiking style rear link...................although it will fit onto the 9furrow Lemken  and theres combi drills, disc harrows and a forage wagon it can pull as well.......................its not officially on the fleet till March 1st  so time to add a new implement or two...................maybe Krampe trailer for starters
