Teagle Matchless rotary mower from 1967 still in use

This is my Teagle Matchless rotary mower which I restored during the Covid lockdown. It was one of the first rotary mowers on the market back in 1967. It has a 5ft cut and is effectively a mower-conditioner. Teagle's boast was that it could cut drying time by 30%. When I was a boy, two go-ahead farming neighbours had mowers like this and they were the envy of the local farming community.

Very nice pair that. I hadnt ever seen a Matchless mower in person until one came to our show in August, looked an interesting bit of kit. I think the owner had come up from Cornwall with it. The 65 looks smart with the lambourn cab, i have grafted one onto a universal hobbies 65 i have just need a decent set of scaledown rear wheels from Nigel when i get around to it to finish it off 320655220_533790988660850_3578560808127206746_n.thumb.jpg.d4f7de6729dc09f1aef1813797cec95d.jpg
