Dirty tractors .. help?

Question

OK guys well im working on a project at the moment to scale down a friend of mines John Deere 6620 so working on getting new wheels etc tax disc holders but it doesn't look quite right without dirt.

How can i get the best dirt effect that sticks? I thought maybe nesquik with PVA glue?

Let me know what you think and your own ideas  ;)

Try poster paint spattered on using a damp toothbrush or stippled with a dry paintbrush.  Poster in the jar is pretty thick stuff and not expensive.

If you don't like the effect you can wash it off but it dries pretty hard if left long enough so is not too easily rubbed off but does not always take first time on a very shiny surface.  If you need a key then a simple wash over with water works provided you allow it to dry on the model.

Thanks Leaky Vale will try it, i was thinking of a similiar idea for the wheels but it could work on the body too  :-\ Will let you know how i get on  :)
