I recently bought the new Burego Valtra of Ebay, and I have to say I am very impressed. For the price of £15 plus P&P Britain's should be a little worried. All that's needed is a compatible hitch and a front linkage that goes up and down and you will have a very impressive model. Its heavy and far more detailed than Britain's of late. Comes in a dealer box too. Burego also made a Newholland a little while back which was also a very good replica of the real machine. If Britains are aiming there toys at children with a average price of a tractor now nudging £30 when this Valtra is around £15 then goodluck to them. I am not Britain's bashing as I have a lot of time for them but they really need to get with it and decide which direction they need/want to go in. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the pictures and info. If that's it I think its a very poor show. Hardly heritage models are they. Disappointed to say the least. For me as a collector all these re-releases really peeve me off, it takes the fun out of collecting.

Why go to the bother when the Siku version is still available ..
Maybe so but I would still Britains had a go. I have never really taken to Siku tractors as in my opinion they just don't look right, not saying Britains are perfect though, far from it.

Has anybody noticed the new Britains set, the one made out of the box and aimed at younger ones. The tractor and loader that comes with it is a John Deere 30 series. As far as I know Britains have never previously made such a model in 1/32. In the pictures it doesn't look half bad and just needs a little more detail ( mirrors, weights etc ). Maybe one of the surprise models for this year as part of a classic range.

The CLASSIC International looks like an old Ertl model, to me not exactly a Classic tractor/model.

Nice photos there. I like the New Holland on the scraper, always nice to see the supporting tractors.
Funny thing is the scraper tractor is the newest tractor on the farm. It replaced a Mf 550.

crop a bit light simon?? or is that just the angle. At least 3 weeks behind here given the winter/spring we had
Some fields are better than others, they have 3 silage sheds in total with one still full from last year so they are not desperate for silage unlike some others. They will probably harvest two to three cuts and some round bales too. They just decided to go for it whilst good weather was forecast.

Any update Hody?? on the fleet etc
Thanks for bringing my topic back out in the open. I had other topics with more pics but I cant find them so assume they were lost in the forum change over some time ago. Nothing has changed really regarding the tractors apart from the Mf550 went to pastures new and was replaced by a Newholland. The current tractor fleet is now MF 390, Mf 5445 x 2, Mf399 and New Holland TD5010. I have now renamed this topic Larkton Hose Farm Pictures and will put some more pics up as and when.

Mines number 272, nice model with added detail.

I live within walking distance of the show, go every year but this year I didn't go due to my dog being very poorly. It is a good show and well worth a visit.

very nice indeed, now all we need is some machinery from the same era to go behind them
Very true, a nice mid sized plough etc

For the money you really cant go wrong. The build quality is on par with Britains if a little better, the paint quality certainly is. Whilst it has a rear 3 point linkage it doesn't move and just has a hook to tow a trailer with. It steers too. All for £15 or less.
