  3. Pictures of the new ones to follow shortly
  4. Hi all You may remember a few months ago the farm where my dad works had a New model Mf 5455 on demo to replace the Mf 399. They decided the 5455 was a bit expensive at the present time and decided to keep the 399 for another year and look at replacing it then. As the Mf 398 was also getting on in years they started to look into replacing this and started to look for suitable replacement. My dads boss found a tractor at a dealer ( in West wales, so a good two/three hours drive away) and popped along to see it. The tractor is about four years old and only done 800 hrs or so, having spent its life of a welsh caravan park. So a deal was done and the 398 would be traded in for it. The new tractor was due to be delivered last Friday and I was hoping to go and get some pictures of it being unloaded but due to work commitments I couldn't go so I sent my deputy photographer ( my sister ) to go and get some pictures. The salesman said he would send another tractor on the lorry for my dads boss to have a look at as a replacement for one of the 390's, well guess what, he bought that one too!!!. So now the tractor fleet comprises of.. MFA 550 ( scraper ) MFA 390 ( loader ) ? ( to replace one of the 390s ) ? ( to replace the 398 ) MFA 399 Manitou Telehandler Well enough of me rabbitin here are the pics, firstly some pics my sister took of the farm whilst she was waiting for the new tractors to arrive. Firstly MF 550 aka Banger

  8. Yes I think it is. I didnt get many pics of them as Im sick of seeing them , nearly every tractor around my end is a JD.

  10. Anybody going? I am, and I am taking my camera . Should be good this year as last years show was cancelled due to foot and mouth. There is the usual vintage and horse drawn ploughing but there is a lot of modern kit with most of the big manufacturers present. Details as below, not far from the M6. Cheshire Ploughing & Hedgelaying Match Wednesday 24th September 2008 at New Farm, Arley Northwich CW9 6LX www.cheshireploughing.co.uk

  19. Hi all. Some more pictures for you all. Same equipment but a different stage in the farming year. The field doesn't belong to where my dad works but they have the straw of the land. The bailing was done by a local contractor with a JD and claas baler.
  20. Lovely pics mate. Makes a nice change to see smaller newer combines working instead of the great big field munchers Kit looks nice and tidy too.
