Yes, I had a buying spree around christmas time gathering Hornby trains etc.
My heart lies in the Britains Herald models of the olden days though really.
I even bought some timber to start building a big layout.............probably use it for shelves now !
The problem I have had with selling the trains is that i don't really know anything about them.
I have tried to take good photos and be honest with descriptions.
The stuff i have sold has been well received though.
I only have track left now to list.

Thanks for the welcome back chaps.
No more motocross for me Marky, just mountain bikes now.
I still have an old cr 125 which I restored a couple of years ago(and raced twice last year) but I don't ride any more. My knees are a bit troublesome but I can manage riding a push bike fine.
It feels good to be on the hunt again for these old fordsons.
I may find room for a few old reds as well Marky !

I try and collect any old Britains stuff made before about 1970 really. I ahve recently been buying a few soldiers and cowboys and indians made by herald. I know they are a bit off topic but I like them.
I like the Farm first followed by the zoo then anything else interesting.
I must also add that reading a copy of the new model farmer magazine has had a huge impact on me too. A friend of mine gave me a copy of issue 4 and it inspired me to get back into collecting.
What a great read.

I think its possible to buy rougher models cheaper than a few years ago but so far I have only been buying off ebay. We all know that ebay can be hit or miss. Sometimes you can get lucky and other times models fetch a lot of money. I am looking forward to getting around some toy fairs again.

You're right there.
I got to the stage where I had collected more or less one of each of the Fordsons made from 1948 to 1965 and got a bit bored with actually owning them.
That may sound daft but I actually enjoy the looking for models and finding them more than the owning.
I won't sell the nice ones again if I get them though.

Thanks Barry,
I will keep building and yes, perhaps I need to diversify \
I really like the older style tractors though.

The 2 Ford convos in this topic are available to forum members for £45 each posted.

yes, all was not lost.
I did put a reserve on each one of £51 just to be on the safe side but that may put some bidders off.
If they know its going to be at least £50 its puts them off I guess.

thanks guys.
yes, i guess the money isn't flying around like it was a couple of years ago.
i wanted about £50 each and they included some old britians implements as well.

Because I made such a good job of getting my lads tractor fixed(WITH THE HELP OF TRACTORMAN810) , I now have the job of mending his friends Fendt.
Has anyone got a spare fendt motor and box or has anyone on here bought direct from the siku website link ?
Cheers

Both the tractors died at the same time i think.
I wasn't present at the time, otherwise I would have gave them a good talking to about wrecking expensive toys!
Its funny because my lad has loved having it back and now he isn't bothered what he gets for Christmas. \
Happy ending though.................tractorman810 came to my rescue.
Massive thanks from me and my lad Charlie to you Sean ;D

Does anyone know if theres people who repair the radio controlled siku toys.My lad has been doing a spot of tug of war with his mates Fendt !
The motors ok but the gearbox is knackered.
I could do with just buying another gearbox.
Any help would be great .
Cheers
Here we go again .....................
