  1. Firstly check to see if it is okay with your leader to check out the problem. Then check all the light fuses (right hand side of the dash I think) remember that the work lights will only work if the main lights are turned on. If the fuses are okay, probably already checked bulbs, but as already said check to see if you already have power at the light (a good idea is to earth to the main body, something shiney, rather than the cab as the cab earth may have corroded). If no power at the light then check to see if any power at the switch. If there is power at the switch in and out there is a break somewhere, probably in a multiplug under the cab that will be corroded as I have seen this before. Hope that this helps....Remember, if you don't really know what you are doing ask somebody that does.

  2. Didn't see them that's not to say they weren't there it was a big event ;)

Saw Les Arnold does work for Merlo and Deutz DAF wagon and drag.

Some blue Daf wagon and drags with flags of the world painted on them ??? ???

Blue and yellow DAF Coxinental ??? ???

Two pimped up black Foden's from Shropshire.

    And local boys H C Wilson and B & C Carberry

Carberrys had a 07 plate Scania R580 6x2 tag with twin Eminox stacks you'd bleep the throttle as you came past a 'little' 470 wouldn't you :D :D

I think that I may be able to help here, first up Daf wagon & drags with flags, think that they are called Rainthorpes or something like that from the Grantham area I think. I loaded them with Balers when I worked for Coxinental or to give it the proper title JA Cox & Son Ltd from just outside Hull. Work mainly on transporting agricultural machinery for major players in the game in the UK and Ireland. Coxies now run a mixed fleet of Scanias and Dafs with an owner driver running a Man and Volvo in Coxies colours.

  3. would that be Lamberts you have posted with the combine and cat? local contractor is fitting 4wd to his 580 terra track as it will drive but not steer ::) does ya dad work for FD BIRD? if so i think its a 6930 not 6920 on order, i know one of the bosses, they have 4 new jds on order :o

my dad has been stuck twice today with the claas mega 204, bl**dy wet here in holderness :'(

Good to see that you are posting again Sparrowlegs, bout time to!!!

If the combine in this post is the the one that sparrow legs says it is (which I have a sneeky suspicion it is). It spent the night either stuck or broken down in the Burstwick 20 last night as it was stopped early on and it was still there this morning. I rekon by the end of this season we will see more machinery stuck.

  4. I had an idea not to dissimilar to yours Marcus, the newer type doors which have just half a dozen lightweight aluminium panels which slide up and over like this one you have made, know what I mean? Could be done couldn't it?

I've been thinking about that to and I don't see why it shouldn't work. On full size the flat panel has a roller slightly behind and top and bottom of the panel so this should be able to be copied using sheet and wire to run into the outside channel (if you get what I mean?). Only thing that it may need is some way of holding the panels together, maybe some kind of tape on the inside were it won't be seen.

  5. Morning Men,

    Cowboy, All made from wood.

Finn & Starbrush, thankyou for your kind words.

Its amazing how posts seem to re-light with new members coming on board letting older members see some posts that they haven't seen either for a while or before.

Anyway heres a little project that I have been doing, more for bulk than weight I think as I rekon that it could soon be overloaded.

  6. Even one on your doorstep Sparrowlegs!! Can you find it?

Seriously though, a few years ago I was involved with Massey Ferguson compact tractors and they came in wooden crates the same. I remember them coming in 20ft containers, but the wheels came seperatly. This was I think so that you could choose as we used to put them in sets (as to spec etc).

  7. Can't figure it out, something looks different...........

Oh I know what it is there seems to be a shortage of soft toys cable tied to that top bar!!

Come on Sparrowlegs post a picture up with them on, on here. Show your true colours!!!

  8. I agree with NewHolland2.

They are a very under rated tractor. I worked for a company that got the dealership when they first came out a few years ago, yes they had their niggles but what doesn't.  Since then only really had alot to do with Fergies in the summer time. But earlier in the harvest I drove a Agrotron 150, what a tractor high up, good allround vision (unlike the Fergies), brilliant gear shift and  really impressed as to how all the niggles seem to have been ironed out, SDF seem to have really listen to what the operater wants. Everything in easy reach unlike the 05 MF 6480. Got to farm yesterday to be asked if I wanted to go ploughing for the day on a demo tractor, a brand new Agrotron 265 what a machine couldn't fault it at all, everything at arms length and were it shoud be. Enjoy!
