  1. I have two unopened milking parlours, and one boxed but mint sheep dip, all brought when younger for 6 or 7 quid price they were new, I think they are worth a bit more than that now. :)

The Britains milking parlour was a really good bit of kit but you don't seem to find them much now complete and boxed, one of those items that has to be complete and boxed to be appreciated. Same goes for the sheep dip set. Neither of these lasted very long in production I think.

  2. Oh I see you have a Human resource department, I would never let anyone call me a resourse as that tends to be something that you use up and is often expendable. That phrase really gets under my skin, its like something out of the book 1984.

Getting an email from our our HRD aka Human Remains department saying that headcount is being cut by an expected  67 people and our department is one of the targeted support services together with three product lines that are not meeting targets.

  3. Great pictures Sascha thanks for sharing, I know Lincolnshire fairly well as its one of our neighbouring counties, although I live about a mile away from the Cambirdgeshire border, also been too RAF cranwell many times on work as the construction company I work for is building houses just on the very edge of the base, very close to the runway, you drive right through the centre of the base.

  4. All our major kitchen appliances are Hotpoint and all over 5 years old, they are all made in england as it says so on the front. Fridgefrezzer, dishwasher, washing machine and oven and hob. None have really been any trouble the washing machine (on at least twice a day)  had a new door seal and the pump stopped on the dishwasher but when the engineer stripped it it had all plastic stuck in it from when my wifes idiot sister had loaded the machine with plates covered in the stuff. Even our central heating boiler has not been any bother (Ravenheat) made in England, thats 6 years old, not missed a beat unlike my friends Vailiant which at around 2 years old has been a constant pain, I could go on about my Rover cars and most of the furniture in my house but I wont bore you, I will just say I think it pays to buy British. Incidently my wife used to work in Bosch addmin and most of the people there wouldn't have a bosch appliance in the house.

  5. Went too Milton Keynes, beautiful place (NOT) :of to pick up my latest project a 2001 Rover 45 IXS 1800cc with supposed head gasket failure, but as is so often the case with this misunderstood engine I dont think it is, its super clean everything works and the tyres are all new except one, air con beautiful and cold, alloys mint, 10 months M.O.T and only 85,000. I could tell you the princely sum I paid, but then I would have to kill you, lets just say when its done I will let it go for around £800 which is well under the average asking price, and should still make a few bob. :D

  6. I love Britains my collection, and thats all I have ever collected and will collect, the older models from my younger days will always be the most precious to me (A silver cabed 2680 is my favourite) but after loosing there way in the mid to late 90's I personally feel Britains are regaing their form, I just wish they would hurry up with our bloody County.  ;D

  7. The little monkey will come out when he's/she's good and ready due dates are not an exact science, anyway they wont let it go on for too long before they will perform a cesarian, which my wife had for our first child Jack. Good luck and hope mother and child are well. ;)

yeah i guess so, hes just rung again and still no joy, her proper dad is now worried, and wont belive what they are telling him so is going up? ??? ?? he cant do anything, and he will only get karrens back up ,can see this getting messy now

  8. Had a lazy day today for once, cleaned the car and helped the good lady sort out and throw away some of the kids 100's of toys which seemed to have swamped our conservatory even though its 18Ft by 12Ft, and finally had the time to catch up on here after a month or so absense, Ive had a few issues to deal with, loosing a man at work so we were short of a plant fitter so have been working all hours, My gramp passing away at 84, so he's had a good inings as they say, but we have had his house to clear and prepare for sale, and another serious issue which I cannot discuss at the moment, but will be able to divulge in time, rest assured its nothing to do with myself or my health or my family directly. Happy to be back in the fold and should now be on more often. ;D

  9. Tell me about it, I had to slam on the brakes the other day to avoid flattening one sat in the middle of the road, flew of though.

Unfortunately, Blackbirds make such a racket when a potential threat is anywhere near the nest that it draws the attention of everything in the neighbourhood to it.  This simply confirms that indeed there must be something worth a predator looking for!

It's also the Blackbird suicide season...they fly low across roads rather than above them...!

  10. A blackbirds nest in the tree in our front garden, I made sure the parents were not around before I very quickly took these pics only 10 mins ago, sadly there were four in the nest but the female took one out of the nest as it was dead, it dropped right next to me as I was cleaning the car on Sat afternoon, the only thing I could think to do was put it down the road drain, I wanted it gone so as not to atract the attention of the local cat population, I have seen a cat wander past our house with a duck of all things in its mouth, big cat mind you.

  11. When I see vehicles running for any lenght of time on angles as extreme as that, it always makes me think about oil starvation in certain parts of the engine, I know that if you corner hard in a car that is admittedly low on oil the oil light usually flashes as the pump sucks air for a second.
