  6. removing front linkage simon, easy, undo the 2 screws underneath the tractor then take out front linkage rear wheels just replace rear siku wheels with the uh ones, front a bit more difficult ,you have to hacksaw or dremel the 2 pin heads then wheels come off, then make up two more pins and glue on the front uh wheels i am sure somebody, particularly the pro builders will have a more satisfactory answer for the front axle but that is what i done cheers simon,paulali

  9. that would have been easy but 5455 shorter than the 5480 in real life, mirrors slightly different, plus subtle chassis, exhaust differences but hey there you go cheers paul palmer
  10. does this count as a conversion? it is a siku mf 5455 and all i have done is took out the stupid steering system from the roof, put on a uh mf 5480 roof, added a beacon and uh mf 5480 wheels front and back oh and took off the front linkage ones down here never seem to have a front link cheers paul palmer

  14. said i was going to start after xmas but here goes, here is a siku lemken front press, i have took off the paint on the egdes of the press with a nail file and i have added hydralic pipes, the pipes are from a 1/12 tamiya motorbike kit,, the press will be fitted to the mf 8270 xtra which is in the tractor conversion topic, i have to weather the press, uh lemken solitare drill to be weathered and put on the back this will have to wait as the drill is wrapped and under the xmas !!!!!!!tree paul
  15. any body help i want to fit a siku rear linkage to my britains 535 quadtrac any pics as well
  16. jc the norscot challenger 765b turned up today i have decided not to replace the rear linkage its very accurate and as i specifically bought this model to tow a britains simba and simba conversion double press what i will do is drill down through the clevis take out the moulded draw pin and make up my own drawbar pin i will let you know how i get on cheers paul
  17. no problem simon here is what i used in the baling diorama base is mdf and routed around the edges base covered in pva then fine wood dust sprinkled over, excess shook off straw windrow is scenic material this is foliage happened to be the right width it comes in strips to get the height i stuck one on top of the other pva again and then covered with mdf dust/shavings grass verge scatter material pva the edge of the plynth and sprinkled on the grass models covered with pva by brush in strategic places then sprinkle the entire model with softwood dust and then shook off .if you look at brochures etc ,or as i have done, worked with the machines you know where the straw settles cheers paul

  19. any thing after the tm 155 superb convo by the way that is really convo work im mainly into weathering dioramas etc although i did convert the siku 8270 xtra i am waiting in the post for the lemken front press and lemken solitaire drill will also weather them and then on display plinth cheers paul
