  1. been there done that... really dont want to do it again  :D

nice update there Luke, 6530 is a bigger tractor than what i thought it was  8) nice rig, good looking kit about aswell  ;)

Cheers Murray! What you mean you don't want to do it again! It's part of the job! Got to love working in to the early hours!

The 3095 will be down as quick as she can Luke........ :D;)

Are you nearly here yet Mart? It's been a few days!  :D :D

Brilliant update as always luke :) nice to see that 7530 working hard cant wait to break mine in properly  :D

How much have you all cut so far? Do you do much on arable side things come harvest?  Or is your boss solely silage side of things?

This one's chipped up to just over 235hp  :) Good tractors! I'm not entirely sure on the acerage so far, as there are 3 gangs, and then 4 round bailers, 3 big square bailers and 1 McHale Fusion, but I guess it's quite alot  :D, On the arable side of things I only do things like soil preperation e.g power harrowing, rolling in seed etc. And occasionally we'll cart corn if the farmers don't do it their selves :) We run 2 combines a John Deere 2256 and a 2254 Hillsider.

    nice pictures luke ;) ;) ;)

    Thanks Berry mate  :)

just found out i'm back down your way for a weekend in july so I might see your lot about again :D

Stop this time and grab a few pictures  ;D

  2. Number 1 has rolled out of the workshop! Another 2 to go  ::)

I don't class myself as a top model maker/builder so don't expect top notch stuff!!  ;D

This trailer is a copy of a few trailers that a contractor runs not far from here. He builds them himself and bases them on Stewart trailers.

His in particular are 14 tonners, but this one is a 16  ;)

Based on Siku's Krampe Kipper TW 800 trailer, with a few extras, like meshed top at front. rear beacon, one less axle & mud gaurds.

I've still got a few things to add on, I would like a ladder on the front, detailed lights at the back, and commercial rubber mud flaps at the rear. :)

  3. nice pictures luke, that 1505 is from callington, still worked to apparently so the guy i sopke to said, must have a good hunt round for it, did you get a picture of the roadless 118 with well drill on it from the show, thats what killed my mobile battery trying to get that picture

No I didn't but im pretty sure it's a company not too far from me. So can have a look if you want, if they're about?

  4. you drive home, wash, prepare your sandwiches for the next day and you return to work for 7am!

I know that! I do that on many occasions! But I mean Rich wants a job working for a contractor that lives 50 mins away, and if he finishes at 4am time he gets home will be nearly 5!

Thanks for all the other kind comments chaps! Greatly appreciated, yep got a few days off now, before the sun comes back out and the beef and sheep farmers go nuts for bales!

And Mart you can have this wrapper if you want whilst I persuade my boss to get me a HS2000!!!!

  5. What an awesome update Luke!

Nice to see all that green.... I was a happy man sat looking at those!!

    Keep them coming....

Good to see you working hard and getting rewarded!

Cheers Jez, I'm confident there will be alot more to come in the following months  :)

    Nice update mate ;)

plenty of pictures and a great variation of jobs and machinery

Thanks painter, it is always good to have a variation on jobs I wil admit!

Luke you great big pooh! What a great update mate and nice to read what's going on in the photos aswell. I like the coastal sunsets, mate. Very nice photo's they are. Your gang have some nice gear too, I used a McHale HS2000 the other day for the first time, what a bit of machinery that is! Hope I get more time on it.

Great pooh!? How rude  :D :D Thanks Tris! I'm nagging the boss to get a HS2000 on demo, would cut my wrapping down to half, literally! Instead of doing 4 layers at 17 turns, it would do 4 layers at 8 and a 1/2 turns! Then I could wrap 300-400 bales a day  ;)

ohhh youra  lucky man with all that kit  :):P college keep telling me to find a summer job with a conny  ;) and looking at these pictures i cant wait to work for one  ;D all nighters ,the kit ;D ohh cant wait  :D keep up the good work luke and keep posting when you can  ;):)

Cheeeers Rich  :) Yeah you won't regret it mate, the amount of people that said to me "You'll get bored luke, too many hours, bla bla bla" Well i'm way in to my 3rd year and still loving every minute, apart from the winter when the jobs are crap, but... I may be off to NZ end of this year and miss all that out  :)

  6. I had to pick the Fodderbeet Cleaner up from a local farm, so thought it was worth of a few snaps. VERY unstable and doesn't like to corner very fast!!

A New Holland FR Forager we had on demo that was rubbish, so gutless for it's size.

And a Milk tanker for Tris & Marcus  ;)
