  1. This is a very nice model for sure, I posted a couple of pics back in October 09. The only gripe I have is that a Siku driver will not fit in the drivers seat, otherwise it is a prize for any collection.
  2. Thank you Deere-est! You just "bonded" two threads together, err, what kind of glue did you use? All kidding a side, a break, crack and/or new part to be bonded is always looking for the correct glue. These have work well for me: "Plastruct Plastic Weld" - spreads using capillary action on joints, the parts are in fact welded, you may need to use rubber bands for large parts but once welded you can toss the item around the room if need be and it wont break, not at the joint anyway; "JB Weld - Kwik" - a two part weld mix, used with pins of various sizes and diameters, works wonders, mostly used with metals. The Plastruct and JB Weld may get pushed to the side in favor of a super glue though, depending on the circumstances. The nice thing about super glue is it isn't permanent.
  3. Loctite makes a "Control Gel" super glue, among other brands. The nice thing about the gel is it doesn't migrate, doesn't make white marks, it will bind not so flat surfaces and sets up faster. I have used it to repair hand rails and small parts, works like a charm.
  4. I did my dangest to find out if the tractor in the photo was salvaged but to no avail. Although I did come across this photo during the process. I don't think a front loader would have helped in this circumstance. (hopefully this is OK as well) http://david.farmnet.com.au/2009/09/16/johnny-caught-the-train/
  5. Hey walterderwent, have you considered this implement instead of the simba for your Ford? http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=28734.0
  6. The photos taken by your Dad in the late '70s remind me of images I have seen of the "Black Blizzards," they were huge dust storms that took place in the States back in the '30s. They were very sad and gruesome times for the farmers back then. Anyway, it doesn't take away from the splendid pictures you have taken.
  7. You're building quite the collection there 05rich, nicely done!
  8. Thank you for the encompassing complement Tris!
  9. Always fun to reorganise and document the event with some photos! Great ensemble of Claas, very nice collection.
  10. Thank you walterderwent! Thought you might like it, your dad drives Case crawlers if my memory serves me. Have you made any decisions on your next acquisition? I haven't seen any farm gear that has caught my eye in a while, although I did get a nifty new implement!
  11. FOCUS MAN! \ You could go nuts thinking about what to choose! Been there done that!
  12. What great things to say about my collection, many thanks! Yes, I do love my STX and Sixteens! Keep an eye out on the yard, hopefully I can get all of the fleet together at one time!?
  13. Texas thank you! They are in 1:50 scale. The Yard is always active, you never know what you'll see!
  14. Murray Thank you and yes they are. The Massey Ferguson is probably the best for front mount equipment. While setting the seed sowing scene I inadvertently forgot to mount the Gregoire Besson Planidisk Frontpacker to the tractor. I based these photos on actual MF seed teams.
  15. Well then, the crowd has some thing to cheer about! Happy Birthday Dad! Nice detail on the bulldozer, what are those upside down V shape things on the back of the blade?
  16. Ok I've got the bleacher seats, the crowd to watch and selling dogs & pop waiting on this event!
  17. Tractorman810 sorry for the confusion, YOU get the gold star! I quoted the wrong quote, did that make sense?
  18. Crikey man no gold star for you today the playground is off limits! Hey have you seen this vehicle anywere before?
  19. L254mm, H95mm, W89mm - Tires, W85mm - Bed.
  20. I was searching for information on the Siku Kuhn BPR 280 and the SIMA Kuhn model. as well as the real deal Kuhn Topper/Shredder. I found these photos, listed links. This is an all business no play machine! The photos have some great detail. I would like to find a youtube or video of this bad boy in action. rlt http://www.traktorpool.de/media/6950/1136950_77041.jpg http://www.traktorpool.de/media/6950/1136950_77042.jpg http://www.traktorpool.de/media/6950/1136950_77043.jpg
  21. Has anyone purchased SpecCast models? How are they over all? The Harvest Commander looks the business, it would be good to find more info. The picture maybe a prototype or is it the final version? The tongue appears to have a peg/pin for hookup instead of an eyelet.
  22. Wow thanks people! It makes perfect sense now. Excellent work. I would like to get the Steel Blue Fendt or maybe the Petrol Blue Fendt. It is difficult to gauge price on such models. I saw a Siku-Weise Fendt 936 Vario Profiteam Holzer go for £65/$108 and a Siku deep red Fendt 936 go for £60/$99. This doesn't make sense. The Weise model should be at a higher price. Although if the Pirelli tires increase the value of the Siku deep red 936, maybe I can see that. The steel blue 936 shouldn't get near those prices unless I'm not considering a reason unknown to me. Again thanks for the quick answers. rlt
