just a small conversion to do for a customer,working lights,flashing beacons and decals.

that looks really good. the smaller header makes it alot better and more like the standard real machine.

thats this model finished now,i have weathered it to look really dusty and its actually the first time in a long time i have used the air brush to weather a model.

all the lights fitted and wired,the engine has also been detailed,the model is back together so all thats left to do is weather it.

found out the mesh is called oakey dry wall sanding screen,available in different gaues

the mesh i used is off one of those spatter screens you cover a frying pan with.

afrika korp driver?,tell him the wars over,nice work,what mesh do you use? might do that to mine,looks good

just you leave my workers alone,he's a prisoner of war and cheap labour ha ha!.i have painted the interior and the driver.

i have narrowed the grass header and put it back together,what is meant to be the mesh on the top of it has been cut out and real mesh added.a custom built driver has been made for it and all the cab lights are finished.

ok thats it stripped down,i have started on the grass pickup and taken it to bits ready for cutting down.

this is my next project,i will be adding working lights all round and weathering it,so tonight it will be getting taken apart ready for conversion.

that looks a bit further than i have got so far.

the JD cab lokks a good match for the Bateman

after abit of cutting chopping and scratch building its a good match.ha ha!

if you want a tipper body the same size as a marston grain trailer asda sells boxes of cotton buds for £1 and the box they come in is about the same size as the marsdon,a cheap quick easy fix to your problem.as for rams two sizes of alloy pipe one that fits inside another either from hobby shops or hardware shops.

i have made all the decals so heres a couple of pics before it gets weathered.

a little bit more done,all the tread plate has been fitted along with a few more small details.i have all the hoses to put in the right places and tidy up all the decals to make and fit then it will be weathered.

i am starting on all the smaller details now ie all the pipe work and wires on the engine,air filter,radiator.drilled the frame work on the booms and fed through green pipes.

finished painting the engine and weathered the turbo then test fitted the body work.all the cab lights are done.i now need to start on all the smaller details and make the decals for it.

looks great jordan,everybody on here started with small conversions,keep doing small conversions like that and you will be scratch building before you know it.

all depends when im up there,could be this weekend if dry,if i am, will get you a couple pictures

thanks for the help guys i managed to source the pics i needed today.

built an engine for it today,i will post more pics when i start putting it back together,still waiting on paint drying.

most of the body work is done although no pics as im waiting on paint drying.

im using pics off the net to do this but cant find any decent pics of inside the cab or between the back of the cab and the chemical tank which at a guess will be the engine.i have built an engine for it but could anybody get me a pic of what the engine cover looks like?

im looking for a picture of between the rear of the cab and the chemical tank as i am working from pics off the internet and cant find any pics of inside the cab or from the rear of the cab up to the chemical tank.

ok im not ready to update but just for you.the main chassis has had its first coat of paint, most of the new cab has been built i just need to tidy it up a bit then fit all the lights.on the chassis i need to scratch build all the body work which shouldnt take me to long.all the wheels have been stripped down and painted.i should have a better update in the next few days.

oh and meant to say combine looks great but its to clean get it dusty and that will finish it off a peach.

i know exactly how you feel,ive lost count the amount of times i ve spent hours converting a model then posting a thread and get little or no response,it does'nt bother me to much but i think thats what puts of some of the younger modelers.

hi aaron sorry ive been busy with other builds i have only had a chance to build the cab which is nearly done and i did'nt think this was enough to warrant an update,i will try and get some pics up later.
