i have started making this dozer blade for the old jd to use on the silage pit just for something different.here is a pic for now,i just need to paint it run the hydraulic hoses and age the tractor.
-
hi mate,i dont think it was air under the paint it sounds like the paint has reacted with something on the bonnet, try sanding it down and spray it with primer first this should stop it reacting.dont worry mate we have all had paint react at some time you just need to start again which is a bit of a pain but you will be glad you done it in the end.

ok i will start the ball rolling.
this little guy was a brittish soldier with loose camo on his helmet holding a machine gun and his hand high in the air as if to be stoping traffic so i trimed his helmet cut off the barrel of his gun and put a small piece of tube on for a socket cut his arm off and stuck it back on further down and after a bit of paint he is now a mechanic holding an air impact gun.

after a bit more paint, almost finished.

made a three point linkage for the front of a siku jd and have started to detail the cab eg made doors, aerial etc.

Very cool very cool indeed love al the little details and the dung spreader is CLASS !! Love how you have made that look like there is motion.
thanks didnt think anybody liked the spreader as nobody had commented on it,i just need to finish that with the airbrush.thanks again for your comments.

the realism in the workshop is incredible, also love the freeze frame shot of the samson dungspreader
thanks all the comments make it worthwhile,i thought the dungspreader looked quite cool handed it to my son and asked him what he thought, looks like **** he said,so for a couple of seconds i was a bit dishartened till he turned round to walk away with it nodding his head saying pretty cool dad.
-
Really interesting topic, hun. The engine hoist looks very realistic and I love the detail of the plug sockets and cabling.
thanks very much,my son came to me today and asked for a pair of snipes i found out later he had cut the cable on the welder at the socket and when i asked him why the answer i got was i needed to do some welding outside the workshop do you not know anything dad?so i can consider myself told.

my son has been moaning at me for weeks to build him a plough so today i threw one together its by no means perfect but will keep him happy for now.

thanks for your comments
the electritians wired the shed and fitted the sockets today but they left in a bit of a hurry for some reason,i think it might of been the spreader working at the side of the workshop.
-
the electritians were round today to fit the fuse boxes and sockets to the new workshop.just to wire it and fit the sockets tomorrow.
-
ok made some of the workshop equipment its not quit finished but heres a sneaky peek.

This is just fantastic
Those lamp posts look excellent, how did you make them?
two different diameters of copper pipe soldered together and an led wired in.
-
made up a texture coat and done the outside of the walls to give them a harled effect
-
I dont know if its accurate or not but to me if its a john deere trailer it should be green with yellow wheels so i like it
it is definately not accurate as i just had a quick look at them on the net then went up the attic and threw it together, but it holds a header and it is a trailer which is what my son required so as far as he is concerned job done.
-
ok got the new workshop roughly put together and the doors hung, sliding bolt is on and working, need to get some detail on it now and start getting some tools made.
-
wow i like that mate, would look better in black with silver wheels, that's what the real ones are, and p.s you do know that combine is a US spec not a european spec?
hi mate, the pics i saw on the internet were mostly yellow so thats why i done it yellow, and as for US spec i dont know the difference so my seven year old wont.so come on then whats the difference?you learn something new every day and all that.
right better get on with this workshop and jd dealership.
thanks for your comments by the way its good toget an honest opinion.
