  1. After not lifting any potatoes since last Friday we tried to do a couple of loads this afternoon, the same driver as last time however managed to get himself bogged down again and we had to tug him out backwards this time. He reckons he can't watch to see if he is starting to spin out as he has to much to watch with the elevator in the trailer as it is.......patience is wearing thin.....very thin with him, its like talking to a brick wall telling him what to do/how to do something properly and I've given up now before I make myself ill again like I did with last years student >:( >:(

    Ironic?

  2. I keep going back to look at the models side by side, and particularly for the Marge 8730, it just seems to look more 'right'. I drove a Q cabbed TW35 when I was a student harvest worker and it seems to have the right proportions - particularly the bonnet. The UH just seems a little too skinny as Sean said above.

  3. Great pics Ol. My own view is the same as Pauls. The Marge County is just not right ,cause its basicly a copy of one individual County in Holland somewere. The blue paint also looks too dark . The UH one looks better. But the Marge 30 Series is quiet nice, bar the mudguards. I could not quiet see what ye were getting at with them, but now I see. The UH version looks anorexic long side the Marge.

i think the paint colour might be just the photo quality. if anything, i'd say the UH machine is darker blue in the flesh. The blue is the same as that used on the smaller 7610 machines.

  4. Picked up both models from Graham today. Will try to post a couple of pics alongside the County and 30 series counterparts tomorrow Comparing side by side, the Marge seem to be a better shade of blue and the width of the bonnet seems more appropriate - its a bit too thin on the UH machine. Side by side, I'd say the two County's are pretty closely matched with the UH winning in some areas e.g. The steering angle on my Marge is tiny (those huge tyres are getting nowhere near close to fowling the bonnet). Overall, the Marge is more detailed as you'd expect for twice the money.

On the 30s the gap is more noticeable. I'd say front axle position looks ok, although it is slightly further forward than the UH machine. The two machines are also different lengths which seems surprising! But the cab interior does have the funk transmission (although positioned very low - the operator needs long arms). Overall, the Marge is much better but the rear wheel hubs are a bit odd - the gaps are a bit big really.

It's quite a chunk of cash to part with though for two machines!

  5. The exhaust looks like it isn't properly attached and, it's probably just the light, but the shade of blue looks a bit light. Almost Landini blue....

  6. I'm guessing, based on the large number of similarities and common parts that a CaseIH 9230 combine on tracks might also be possible for UH? How similar are the real machines (externally at least - I appreciate the NH has twin rotors and the Case just one)? I know the cab (but not roof), engine, track units are the same and structurally they look pretty similar (e.g. The unloading spout and mounting looks the same).

Could be a nice follow up release for 2013 for UH - and they're lovely machines in real life.
