  1. i think a lot of new and born again collectors get drawn in to trying to buy every thing that comes up they have not got ,thinking it is rare or there will never be able to get hold of another ,the result of this is that you will end up spending £1000`s in haste ,these die cast tractors will always be around and in most cases they are not that much more money to buy now than they were 5-15 years ago ,i think we all start collecting all sorts and then you realise that one you have not got room and two you take a fancy to a particular type /make of model ,the bottom line is you can only spend what you have got ,in my case what my wife gives me as pocket money ;)
  2. yes that is the same in my case, that if it was not for britains i would not be collecting farm models now,i stoped collecting britains around 1985 ,and still have all of mine from when i was only 5 years old,i really like the older britains better ,i still pick bits up when i see them at toy fairs only if they cheep and a good investment for my littel lad , moved on to siku now i a big way both converting them and collecting ltd, the only thing is i think the market has gone stale with both britains and siku produce in the terms of ltd cheers peter
  3. you will have a motor factors in your area that supply paint to the motor trade and they have colour charts (colour chips ) with every type of green ,red ,blue ,ect ect,so you can pick an exacted match you want, here is the best bit :they can put that colour in to a spray can aerosol and it will be 2k paint ,that means you will get a great finish/shine it will cost you around £7. aerosols from halfords tend to drop the gloss finish, and just one more tip check your colours both out side in normal light and in side the shop because they will differ in different light (metarmerics)

    Siku 2010

looks like siku are going down the road of putting hub caps withing the wheel centers like the deutz x720 and the valtra ,these are easily removed and it will make really easy to paint the centers/nuts if you wanted, the best thing about the (hub caps) on the newer siku models they cover up that horrid steel Axel poking out the center of the wheel like john deere 6920 ,i painted all mine in any way ,
