  1. the actual size of hole on the dryers vary depending on crop requirements and spec but wheat oats and barley is 7/16th holes so on a model it'd be impossible to paint true scale ones but basically as small as you possibly can is what you want if you can see through to the insides still it be fine i think
  2. 4D modelshop could photo etch you any mesh
  3. ha ha! whys that? no grease nipples?
  4. since our deere dealer got caterpillar there are 7 cats to go out here
  5. and just looking at the 7R range the 7200r would be a strong contentender over a 6210r
  6. found it command quad http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/cc6380fd#/cc6380fd/18
  7. yup i'll look it up I can find it but if you ever driven a dyna 6 massey is operates a bit like that but dont compare the two am waitn on my salesman to remind me the name of it
  8. That is basically what the new gearbox is on deere with twin clutches you hardly feel a gear change its seemless
  9. is the new deere supposed to be able to beat the lexion be interesting to have them all in 1 field for 1 hour to see the difference, as yields vary then the output of the combine is affected
  10. what settings did you have the autopower on pingu? I can set my 6930 to either drink the full tank on a days sowing with the 1 pass or only use 3/4 of it all in the settings of the engine + gearbox, many leave the factory on a drink it setting and have a bit more torque, play with the settings on your droop and power boast and eco settings and you will find you most likely have her set to drink instead of sip and i'm not sure about you but some people compare two tractors on demo like this, oh that one used a full tank today, and the other one only used 7/8 of a tank Chances are the tanks are different sizes and there is usually alot more left in the bottom of a tank than people realise, the only way to do it is with a fuel meter and thats the way i do it, everyone says deere drink alot of fuel, so how come in DLG tests deere usually rank in the top 3?
  11. Just a wee thought alot of people say about iphones being fragile and sure just stick it in a hard case to protect it AND Make it more bulky take to nice look away from it etc. . . . In my opinion the technology is there, a phone no matter the type should be hardy enough to withstand "life" Put it this way, you wouldnt buy a car and wrap it in bubble wrap just so it wont get scratched in everyday use now would you?
  12. If it makes it to the end of the day? At what it should do and what it cannot do?
  13. I have driven the new 6r series and i'll tell ya you'll be bloomin impressed, the cab has enough room in it for a small house, noise levels are low, visability superb, a 6170 would replace the 6930 but if you want bigger the 6210 is a beauty and it might look big but hell it is actually compact and for drilling and sowing add the steering option, at headlands only a couple of small turns lock to lock is impressive, what gearbox you got? i'd recomend autopower every second but their new gear box with the twin clutch system is genius and just as good as autopower a winner
  14. I was tought for lower link sensing on the draft basically the toplink in not required and is only there for lifting the plough for turning it should have no pressure on it when actually ploughing but as you have no depth wheel then you always need it
  15. here is a question How many on here have a smart phone and actually use it to its potential?? Talking and texting is the main use of mine, and emails come through, and lets face it, the nokia 5100 could almost have coped with all that ha ha!
  16. it doesnt make sense to me, the tractor has to carry the weight of the plough all of the time, where as with a rear depth wheel on the plough the tractor only has to carry the front 50% of the plough if you had hills like we do you would certainly have depth wheels i also noice you plough very deep, i plough 6- 8 inches any deeper i break the plough on rocks
  17. There is some SERIOUS man hours in those photos, good to see, i never made it down have a wile amount on up here, hopefully next time
  18. every farmer would be better pumping it into the rivers directly as a protest or pump it into the supermarkets front doors tell the eu to stick their payments and tell the supermarkets to pay fair prices or enjoy the smell hahahaha
