  1. Yea little ones,

I was poking around the baler at the highland show, it might open and shut its door fast but i wanna know can it pick up as fast moving forward as my welgar can, time will tel, if so i may need a wee finance package i reckon a 6630 and 960 baler  ;D

  2. the reason in the design of the bonnet so high on these models is to accomodate the filtersystems for the exhausts emmsiions and the extra cooling equipment to keep the engine tempertaure correct, if they had used add blue they would not be so big,

i believe the new case puma range like gav has is something simliar at current below the bonnet is a huge space, but when they go tier 3b  then all that space gonna be used up

  3. We have recently purchased and fitted leveling and shatter boards onto our vaderstead 6.3m Roller

It'll be interesting to see the results and if the 3050 can pull them!! haha

Anyone else got these whats your verdict?

We also have stone trays ordered but they havent arrived yet

  4. Ok

I have a new Amazone Seed drill coming, anyone interested it this lady. . http://www.amazone.net/232.asp

Now, on the back of the drill i want to fix on 4 work lamps, 2 rearward facing and 2 smaller that will be pointing forwards from the rear platform to the hopper, this is so at night i can check the operation of the seed wheels + pipes for blockages etc. ..

What i want ot figure, the best way of getting the power out to them, the pin on the 7 pin plug for the stop, tail and indicators, there is the pin for rear fog lights, would the tractor wiring handle the current out this pin?

Or do i install a seperste power outlet on the tractor and a seperate circuit on the drill??

  5. also, what makes me wonder, alot of the official tests Deere have came out near the top on fuel consumption but this is opposite figures, i don't think its machine fault here has to be workload or settings compared to your other demos

  6. na i dont' mean if u put mine on that it'd drink less

I mean mine is smaller and working smaller plough, yours is bigger but the fuel useage is massive, i just don't get how its getting it so tight, something has to be a miss, I don't recall exact figures but on the 1 pass drill changing 1 setting on the transmission saved me nealy 40pence an acre on fuel

i've it all written down somewhere if i find i'll post up, have you engine revs limiter off or on??

  7. Gav nnonnoooooo wwaaayy could the transmission be set right drinking that amount on a plough, my 6930 would drink less am certain of it,

what tyre pressures u running, level of engine droop? transmission should be set to fully automatic, make sure the spools not pumping? (sori mite sound silly but easy done) she should be sitting in around 1600 revs i'd think in mid pull up the field if she's running right

and also do not believe that screen what it says its drinking, if i am correct, it is also reading what it is pumping through the system inculding what goes back to the tank on the return pipe

as when i work out fuel consumption for our sowing barley, the screen told me i was using 1 amount, but the amount i refilled the tank with at the end of day etc divided by hours etc they didn't match actual consumption was much less
