The springs really do look good.  Have you printed them or have you made them from plastic?

Cheers, 3D printed in PLA just, still need to do some refining on the CAD side of things and a couple of tweaks with the printing itself, these were more of a feasibility test than anything to see if they could be printed in situ

  2. The new sheds looking well! That milk tank is a good size too, how many liters is it?

Thats interesting, the iron I have is an 80w one with a flat end to it and i don find that its not hot but, the joints are just a mess and take a lot of filing to look neat. But i see your using copper, where as i only had steel at the time so would that make a difference? Also I am forgetting that it could just be me!  ;D

Were you using flux, or a flux cored solder? This can be a cause of the solder going everywhere, it almost just rolls off the metal.

  5. hello ive been on this forum for a while now so i thought i should probably start this topic. i'm form Northern Ireland my dad and i have a couple of classic masseys in the garage as well as minis and other old cars. i mainly collect 1/32 John Deere, Massey Ferguson with a few New Hollands and Fendts mixed in and and implements that take my fancy. I also started converting and scratch building for my model farm (its not done yet ill have pictures up in a few weeks). my farm is called oak brook farm and runs mainly NH and JD the odd MF.
