It was at a local auction, ?80.....so a moderately good price in todays britains crazy price world!

Oh and sorry for the rubbish in the background, blooming nat west pigs we have them scattered all over the house!

It was in a lot with 5 other items, including the two variation boxed pottinger wagons (red and green) , a boxed ford 7710 with irrigator and a MB trac. ?200 for everything so initally it hurt but not so bad when you divide it down! \

Finally got my hands on the 5004 special set yesterday, are thee many of these sets floating about? Ive seen a few of the blue trailers from time to time.

Picked this up last weekend, quite nice condition but missing the side lights. If anyone can help me out here regarding these, get in touch!

Ebay is fast becoming a "cheaper" way to get hold of Britains. At these big commercial auctions like Vectis, lacey Scott, Cheffins and Wallis and Wallis etc, some items are making much more than they would on ebay. For example, there was a boxed ford super major, normally makes up to ?200 on ebay, went to ?285 at a lacy scott sale! At that same sale a monged up cattle feeding parlour made ?65! In my opinion the best places to get hold of stuff on the cheap now are: Local auctions, toy fairs and car boots if your very lucky.
