  1. soldering works fine if you clean \ and etch before you add the solder. I use a metl rod in the middle between ploughs then solder to seal it up. My ploughs are hardy and take some battering. I use normal iron solder and it works for me but each to their own I suppose
  2. If you've got a soldering iron-give it a go and then use the handy little multi tool to smooth it down. Done it often enough!!!
  3. Think the date is about 1980. I used to be scared shitless of the of the evil head-now I'm just scared of er in doors!
  4. I don't know much about Britains figures and I've recently come accross a set of Wurzel Gummidge with 3 interchangable heads and an aunt sally. Does anyone know what sort of value these get to nowadays? \
  5. looks cracking Mark great conversion. One thing buggin me tho how does the driver get into the cab?
  6. Nice Nathan. I made something similar a few weeks back a Massey with a side hedge cutter you may have seen it on ebay!
  7. I use maxi fix superglue on all my conversions it comes in approx 20g bottles its the best that i have used.

  9. Yes i used the siku ploughs these are the best ploughs for conversions i found-Nath just let me know and I'll add it to the bill ;D

  14. Has anyone used the clear Decal sheets you can buy from most model retailers? They come printable clear or white paper. I thought I'd ask before I buy as mine are home made at the mo and the papers a bit thick for the fiddlier decals I use

  18. Thanks Doc, got a project planned with another JD I'm turning green this year This ones on Ebay from tomorrow night-don't think it will go (hopefully!!) because I started high!

  20. Made out of three scrapped tractors. Very fiddly but well worth it :D
  21. The wheel is a Universal Hobbies Mckormick v80 it's mounted on to the frame with some carefull fiddling with a steel rod and a welder
