MF 5100 spfh
I heard you specifically went on holiday to collect this one but went to the wrong place?? You can't get the staff can you???

Can anyone supply me with the correct decals for the 1884 yet? Or does anyone want a photo of the originals to make some up for me please?
-
Thanks Rory for your comment.
On the plus side it will allow a model convertor to buy this example, put it on standard wheels and change the decals to get it just right?!
-
Won't happen, the real one they made this model from has this kind op decal
http://www.tractorda...884-photos.html
I realise this, but that tractor in Belgium belonging to Jean Moors is not correct. It is the only one with replacement decals like that.
The model looks fantastic but won't be genuine sadly.

Looks great!. Hope they can change the decal so it includes the nose when it is released.
Agree, looks unfinished!

All being well that should go in the next issue, thanks H

'buyer' was offering nothing - "just saving us the hassle of getting rid of them" apparently....suffice to say we didn't accept his generous offer.
Howard - thanks for the offer. What details would you typically include - model, approx age, hours, engine size, contact details and location, approx asking price? Also any idea what issue these would go out in?
On asking prices, sound like asking £2.5k for Leyland and £6k for County with a view that after negotiation they go for the kind of prices suggested above? Or is it better to just put £poa and see what people offer?
Thanks for all the replies.
Yes you have the idea, basic info is fine, people will ring for more details. Get the details to me by Monday and should go in the nest issue of T&M out the following week. Start high with the price, room to drop back down!

Straight tractors can go silly but my valuation was 2,500 tops for the Leyland, as suggested about 1750-2k roughly.
You can PM the details and will put them in Tractor and Machinery magazine and Ford and Fordson, also can put it on www.county-tractors.co.uk for you if you like?

County got to be worth £5-6k, looks a straight one with lowish hours! Saying that the Leyland looks straight enough, £2.5k for that?

What's going on with the tyres on the TW? I looks like Michelins on the back and Goodyear possibly on the front?
Can't we have matching tyres?
