Seen my girlfriend today, was a great day
Worked tonight aswell
-
Now I thought the body's and silage extensions on these were plastic and therefore made in blue and yellow , so why would they paint them ?
I never really thought about that,if thats the case where the hell did the big streak of blue come from?

Everything Farming is a small (But growing) Farming forum where theres a vast range of things to do,see and talk about.
Equipped with a chat room, gallery and a good quality (well, erm mostly ) staff team its a great place for a bit of craic or to discuss current farming issues.
Im not trying to take members from here,of course not,but well, being on 2 forums doesnt harm anyone in my eyes.
Signing up is free and easy and youll be very welcome!

Well had an altercation with a middle aged gentleman this morning.
Was scary i must say

wouldnt agree with that, amazon postage costs are no different from g and m and farmmodels etc, antics is free postage if your purchase is £50.00 or more
I wasnt criticising postage at all mate, sorry if i offended,id rather pay that bit extra for postage to stop damage but when you look at the postage it usually adds a wee bit on which makes it less viable to buy online.
Sorry for any offence again.

If a model is worth 35 youll buy it for 40 on amazon.
What makes online model buying expensive is postage, thats why id rather save my money for shows where discounts are given or i can haggle!
You might find things cheaper in toymaster because theyd be buying in bulk so likely get models a wee bit cheaper.

Well yesterday i got a tour of my uncles wagon,as can be seen in my topic!

Tonight i was given the opportunity to have a shoot with a wagon ive been looking forward to seeing for quite some time now.
Shes a Scania R560 V8
Its used by Donnell And Ellis for european tramping and goes away for 2 weeks at a time, and is driven by my uncle.
Hopefully in the summer ill get a trip with him!
Anyway,less talky

Hello, this is the majority of my model collection
-
What ive also learnt recently about these is that while saving energy etc the carbon footprint in making them is colossal.
Also,i wouldnt like to be standing near one of them if it decided to coupe....
-
Ive spent a night in a tent a mile or 2 away from wind turbines and there is a noticeable drone off them but tbh its nothing major,if you turned your tv up a few nicks you wouldnt hear it.
Also these were probably a hell of a lot bigger, theyre the ones outside ballymena,if anyone knows them?

Welcome to FTF mate.
By 1:1 trucks do you mean like full size replicas of lorries?

The International 956XL is the one I've found most difficult to find in an acceptable condition. I went through our local toy shop's entire stock yesterday and didn't find one without the vertical black stickers misaligned or with finger nail marks in it. OK, it's a toy, but it's still £18 or so and it would be nice if the stickers were applied with a little more care.
On the other side of the coin, I really like the new farm buildings and have found they give a lot of scope for custom buiding.
Guess I can't have everything!
I had the same problem with the 956s,i bought one and the stickers were coming off it and the paint was a bit dodgy....
Disappointing to say the least

Yes,and no,in my eyes.
Yes,in that model builders should increase the quality of models and should indeed be taking the community's guidance and opinion on board.
No,in that britains (in the example of the trailer) are making models for,no offence to anyone here, children mainly, their main market is likely children, and the majority of kids likely wouldnt be able to identify the problems that serious collectors have with models.
I,myself,am not fond on some aspects of the kanes, but at a glance they do look great, and really,at that price you cannot complain.
Sellers are going to make money from modifying them and i say good on them.
You cant compare a 15 quid britains trailer to a 100 quid custom trailer,I would never buy a custom trailer because i havent the cash so im really pleased with britains trailer in that aspect.
Consider, also, the cost of making the trailers, britains,i think,go for low price rather than high quality, which is good and bad.

Well,i never slept last night.....
Highlight of the day: Screaming 'Wooaaoaoaoa sweet child of mine' with a load of other folk at 7am....
Lowlight: losing my voice and now being a hoarse monotonus humming
What have you been doing or plan on doing today?
