Has just been to hobbycraft to buy some plaster cloth and woodland scenic's landscaping starter pack. Didn't want to buy too much of anything without knowing I was confident with using it. I really hope to start mapping out the layout tommorow, and fingers crossed can make a start on plaster clothing the hills!

Just to let people know I'm going to be making my hills and terrain out of plaster cloth.

I unfortunately haven't done anything today. And before you ask it wasn't because of laziness! I have decided that it would be wiser to map out my layout on the boards during the week, and then I hope to go to hobby craft at the weekend to get the grass materials and foliage. I also think I'm going to make my hills and terrain out of paper mache or plaster(I haven't decided yet!). I know people can get away with using cheap methods such as using loo roll, cardboard and pva glue, but I feel a good effect using this method can only be achieved with great patience and skill fullness(Both of which I haven't got much of!) As I said during the week I hope to plan out my layout. Pics will be uploaded as I start mapping it out!

Sorry for not uploading any pictures. As I have already said I've been very busy with other things leaving no time for my model farm. I went and got some more PVA Glue yesterday, and this afternoon if lazienest dosen't prevail I hope to build up the terrain and have some pictures uploaded by this evening!

Crickey. Have only just seen how long ago the last post on the topic was!!! Surprisingly I have still not gotten round to getting the ramp. I don't think the current ramp will fit due to the sides of the entrance being sanded down quite vigorously with the file, so I will have to get round to making one. Shouldn't take too long. Though I wont be able to make it for a couple of weeks due to the Easter holidays! |

Sorry about the delay in pictures and posts, have been doing other things which has result in me not having much time to do my model farm.. Hopefully I will be able to start getting into my model farm as soon as possible. Will keep you all updated on when the next pictures will be uploaded!

I'm going to start mapping out areas of the layout later!!! More pics should be uploaded as soon as I have mapped it out!

I got 1/50 as I am currently limited for space and can fit more on my layout if I use a smaller scale.

Just to let you know. my other forum "School models" Will no longer be used and everything will be put on this forum.

Here is the 1/50 scale tractor and baler that I am using. I bought it as part of the siku range.

I have marked out parts of my farm on my layout and have begun to paint out the yard. When I have done that I will get some gravel to make texture.

I have finished laying the pva glue and toilet paper and will get some pictures when they have dried!

The boards started to bow in the middle as I did not have them drying on a flat surface, therefore I have layered down more loo paper and watered down pva glue on the sides to help it straiten back up. And i am pleased to say that it has worked!

I have a ramp for it but it's in my friends locker at school!
