  1. oh what a great line up! Is that a 6910 on the end? I don't think we got that one here in the states.
  2. Oh it's a contest? I just photographed what was sitting there right in front of me in front of the shop. I can go out to the shed and get a pic of the two quad tracks if it will help me win? ha ha!
  3. To be honest I'm not 100% sure. The dealer said it was 10k dollars less the the Landoll VT disc we were getting rid of so I think that places it right around $90k. We haven't gotten a bill on it yet though.
  4. Yep that's the gist of it. This year has been ideal though. I would think in a normal year we would need to run the field cultivator over the ground either before this tool or maybe instead of this tool. Hopefully those pictures get you what you are looking for. They look like small disc blades but are not on an axle like disc blades. It's kind of odd.
  5. I think that land was last worked back in November. We hit it with a disc chisel then. Yep, 40ft entrances. It's nice to get the big equipment in and out of the fields without any problems.
  6. from the outside finally I got a turn.
  7. It seems our never ending search for the perfect finishing tool continues. After going through a couple VT disks and who knows what else we've ended up with a 44ft Kelly Diamond Harrow. This thing is an absolute monster. It does a fantastic job on the weeds and the soil is ready to plant when it's done. I certainly question it's usefulness in less the idea soil conditions but on a year like this year it's laying the ground down like a garden. It does have some disadvantages. Namely it's very long which means we really don't have a shed that it and the quad track will fit in without removing everything else in the shed. Also you can't turn short with it in the field or it ridges to be beat hell. Narrow field entrances are pretty tricky too. Luckily most of ours are 40ft plus so it should only be a problem on a few. On with the videos. Unfolding Hope you enjoy the videos!
  8. I've been working on a pretty involved scratch built model and once word got out to a few friends they decided they would like one for their collection so now I have about six to build. It's just not feasible for me to do that by hand in any reasonable amount of time. So I decided to make some molds and cast it. My molds are out of silicone using Alumilite products which if I understand correctly will work with metal. To this date I've been using resin but I hate it becuase it cures so darn fast and because it's light. These are 1/16 scale tractors and I would really like to have some weight to them so I think metal may be a good option. The problem is I don't even know where to start. Also what pitfalls should I look for along the way, and do you guys just have any advice for me? Thanks.
  9. Here's my first contribution to the ebay HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THAT PRICE thread. Ok that's not the official title but it's what I said when I saw this. http://www.ebay.com/...=item3372921513 I'd love to have this, but not for 899 USDs. I'm not sure what that is for you guys over there but I'm sure it's a lot. ha ha! I hope this trend of completely assinine prices for gold/silver/gunmetal chaser units stop soon. It's completely out of hand right now. As proof look at the other dozen or so "chaser" units on ebay right now.
  10. Yep that's one of mine. Thanks.
  11. Well it seems like with all the building I've been doing lately the model farm has gotten left behind a bit but I do have a few pictures to share. Hopefully I can get it all finished up one of these days. Custom 9882 pulling a scratch build Krause disc Of course you gotta put down some fertilizer to get things to grow. Everything here is custom or scrach built. a little activity at the fertilizer plant. Filling up to head out to the fields Finally get some planting done.
  12. As far as I know that is the stock location for the exhaust, however that stack is a home made unit. From what I understand the original was rusted pretty bad and just fell off one day in the field.
  13. Hi all, hope I'm not posting too much and annoying you all. I had a little road trip yesterday to research my latest scratch built project and in the process took a lot of pictures that I thought I would share with you all. I enjoy seeing all kinds of old iron and I'm assuming many of you are the same way. Hope you enjoy them!
