  1. couple more just to round things off !!
  2. Thought a couple more may help.
  3. Guys I hope these help-I guarantee this is the genuine article a 100% totally original unmolested MF 590-I have had this since 1977 safely tucked away in its little 100% totally original box.If it does not look like this it is not a genuine MF 590-period!!
  4. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150141149676 Eek!!-I know this was supposed to be the rarer colour, but surely not! And its not finished yet-does look as though its a 2 horse race though!!
  5. Thanks FB-could not agree more with what you say-in fact my friend and I discussed the very same thing when I mentioned this too him-but as you say -'thats ebay'.
  6. Just felt I had to come back on this one re, the Case IH Maxxum and the comment by Powerabbit-this ebay vendor is a very good friend of mine who I was speaking too last night -even he is surprised by how far this has gone and was not expecting anything like the current bid.I would point out however this is apparently a genuine bidder from Canada to whom he has sold other items previously and it has not 'been run up by one of his mates' as Powerabbit put it-the vagaries of Ebay.Like most members on here I know this happens but please be carefull before jumping to conclusions-all ebay sellers are not the same.
  7. BGU-you asked how much these were worth-if its any help I sold an identical to the photo mint boxed example on ebay 2 weeks ago-went for ?12.50.
  8. I've noticed on Ebay (having sold some recently) that the Powerfarm versions of the Vicon Spreader and the Howard Rotaspreader never seem to sell as well or fetch as much money as the Maischo Power Harrow-anyone any ideas as to why? Were the other 2 produced in more numbers or over a longer period? Given that these were the only 3 implements produced in the Powerfarm range (to my knowledge-I stand to be corrected!) it has always seemed a bit strange to me.Anyone any thoughts or ideas?
  9. Could I extend this a bit further- 1)The top 5 'rarest' tractors in tems of production numbers.(excluding pre- production or experimental versions) 2) The top 5 rarest implements or other models -again excluding those items that have become scarce through time and the above. (Wish I Had had a ?1 for every time I had read 'rare' [allegedly!] on Ebay!!!! )
  10. Couple of questions for the historical experts - 1) I noticed another 'MF 590' had appeared on Ebay the the other day-how many of these were actually produced has anyone any ideas,I know the production run was only around 12 months but just wondered if anyone had ay idea of numbers? 2) Britains 'rarest' tractor any one any views or ideas-(accepting the fact that the word 'rare' appears to be a somewhat overused on Ebay !!).By rarest I mean in terms of numbers produced rather than the older models that have come scarcer over time. Thanks guys.
  11. This guy is a bit crazy and obviously has money to burn-I came across him about 9 months ago-he was paying crazy money for stuff then! He always seemed to bid on the stuff I was after-he sent me a message once via ebay asking if I had a million to spend on models I should keep bidding against him! Beware people!!
  12. I know these are not Britains guys, but check these out-and you all thought Britains buyers were crazy sometimes!!! Ebay item no;7007982828 :o- 7003130248-this poor seller must be on the verge of suicide! 7007982828-and its still not finished-some bidding war!! Sorry I did not have time to post the links-but believe me worth a look!!!!
  13. Thanks for all the information everyone,I think the only items I appear to be missing now are,the shawnee-poole dumper, the log trailer and the Lely turner as far as the implements are concerned. The only thing I don't have are some of the sets. Again thanks to everyone who has responded-much appreciated.
  14. I really think you should find a cure for your insomnia FP or you need to go to bed earlier!!! (by the look of the last post and the time it was posted!!) PS:But thanks for the info anyway-I obviosly missed that one!
  15. Keep the info coming guys-don,t have the green acrobat-another hole to plug!.Will see what i can do about some photo's Deere-est,sadly I don,t have the room to display them (I also have a girlfriend with a cleaning /dusting fetish so no chance of them being displayed anyway-too much risk of damage!!!)so they are all in mint condition in thier boxes safely stored away at room temperature-hence little or no wheel melt(I think-seems to have worked anyway).
  16. Thanks for asking FP,I think the only items I am now missing are the Shawnee-Poole Dumper-or was this only available with one of the sets?.Iam also missing the lely tedder. All my collection is mint in boxes.
  17. Thanks for the information guys-apart from 1 or 2 of the sets and 1or 2 implements it would appear I am nearly there-thanks again.
  18. Thanks Andy-only the Ford 5000 missing, but have the earlier 5000 in the sliding box(with no wheel melt!),any ideas on the implements?
  19. A question for the 'historians'-could anyone tell me which tractors and implements were produced in 'straw boxes'?I think I am pretty close to owning them all (collected over more years than I care to remember, but most sometime ago!) but may still be missing one or two-any help would be greatly appreciated-thanks guys.
  20. Definately Hmmmm! IHP, I saw those earlier today together with some other unboxed MF595's from the same seller
  21. Thanks for that Andy-again! Will be putting some mint boxed stuff for sale on the new website as need to have a bit of a clearout, please let me have details as and when.
  22. Does anyone happen to know how many '100 year' Centenary tractors Britains produced in 1993-just curious as have 2,?.Seems also a big variation in what they are worth, rough average for a mint example in a mint box anyone?
  23. Nice try fhl ,but surprise ,surprise maybe I will just hang onto it a little longer-just on the off chance Andy is right!
  24. Andy-thanks for that-this is a genuine 'untampered' one.
  25. Could anyone on the forum give an opinon as to what this may be worth,I have never seen another one, also how many were actually produced-any body any ideas?
