;D That's my mates Fastrac. He's really struggling to find work for it at the moment. He's a big plant man so this is normally on building sites and the likes with his Komatsu 360's etc carting away. The problem is the sites he's on at the moment don't want a fastrac running, so he's not sure whether to sell or not :o
You know were it will be heading though if the price is right, yep to NCC ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I get asked this question quite alot ;) :D
Your right though, a tedder just spreads and fluffs the grass up to aid in drying and to break the waxy layers on the blades of grass, otherwise known as conditioning.
A haybob can ted and row up the grass though, by adjusting the angle of the tines and gates you can spread the grass (gates open) or row it up ready for the baler (gates closed) we only use the haybobs for rowing up though ;)
Hope that helps
Ah yes the Welger RP 202 or 220 as I keep calling it, bought new in 2003: Excellent baler in grass, nice solid bales and very easy to maintain and work with. Stuggled with straw last year though, shear bolts kept shearing and the bales weren't that solid, was baling behind 2 25ft Case Axial Flow's though :o :o
Claas Jaguar 51 Flywheel chopper and boy can it gobble some grass for it's size. Makes our 125HP Case 956XL Turbo whistle when we have some lumpy swaths :o ;D
Managed to snap a few pics today of some of our hay and silage making equipment. There currently all stored at our secret hideout awaiting summer, when they'll be washed off and bought back to life :D :D
First up the Kuhn GF 7601 tedder, looking rather drib drab in these pics \ \ \
She isn't though :D
Can't say as I have had that one, when she's in gear she normally stays there, most of the time \ \ \[quote

Aye join in MFF, I want to know what every little knob, button and lever does ;) :D :D
It's on a P MFF so 1996 is it \ \ You might be right on the one gear stick. I did try a 6180 with the electric shuttle on the steering wheel column, can't remember if it had 2 gear sticks or not though. Was told to always go with the mech shuttle though as the electric one was very unreliable, hopping in to neutral and sometimes not selecting at all where common faults I believe \ \ \
I think there for an Accord combi drill control panel or something along those lines as before I got it it was always on a 4m Accord drill with front hopper \ \
To be honest if Datatronic wasn't fitted, I don't think I'd miss it. It's alright and useful, I can find out wheelslip, set my wheelslip limit, acres an hour, distance etc but you can live without it, if needs be \ \ I would say it's about 80-90% accurate if calibrated correctly ;)
Cheers Tris, aye it's me first display kinda thing, just trying to find somewhere to keep it at the moment \ \ \
Keep us posted Marcus, mines gone a bit t!t's up now and I can't be ar$ed with it. Might try a MDF shell next \ \
Only the best FP, you know me : :D
Barn is half done, I'm just waiting for someone to sell there house for a bit more cladding ;) ;D
