  1. I build this Veenhuis model last weekend. Got the decals yesterday and finished detail the model today. The tank it self is the same size as the yellow ones. This is a simpler "farmer version" with not as much fancy stuff.

The real Veenhuis ecovac, with the old style fillingarm and decals. My'n is build with the new style decals en fillingarm

  2. Thanks guys  ;D !!  should have pointed out that here both Ropa tires. I'm going with the big ones ! I can use those small tires on other project  so no problem there. I got the big ones in yesterday and modivied them to fit the steering axles of the VVT.

Got some more work on them done. I hope to spray them with primer this weekend.

    @ Britainsfan:

I got one of those Proxxons. It makes building so much easier, can't imagine working without it any more !!

  3. I got a lot of work don one the VVT 400's, the tanks and the fronts are all sprayed in filler and wet sanded with 1000 grid sanding paper. After that i start to assemble the parts into the whole machines. The front and tanks are numbered because the are painted in differtend colors. top half yellow, bottom half black.

I'm building a sixed one for my own collection. I allready got the one with the round tank, VVT build one of the 400-4's with a square tank. So I'm building that model as well for my own collection of VVT's  :) A LOT of work has gone in that tank to make it right with all the angels.

  4. I got some work done. Build 15 chassis for the 14000L tankers, And got a lot of work done on the VVT 400-4's. the chassis, tanker ( 3 of the 5 still need sanding ) an front are allmost done. 5 of them will have the 16.000L tanker, on of them ( for my own collection ) wil heb be having a 21.000L tank on it.

  5. The convayer is all made of poly. small 1x1mm profiles glued on a 0.5 piece of sheet poly. Looks like the real deal  ;)

That's a silage truck Tris. A cheap toytruck in 1:32 scale completely rebuild with some added details. I'm allso rebuilding a Claas Jaguar 900 green eye in USA style. and a silage box for behind a tractor you can see in the back. I'll make a topic when the models are finnished  ;)

  6. Time for an update  :)

i started building the smaller 3500 as well. She's 73cm shorter in wheelbase than the 4500 ( 3.73 - 3.00 m ) This model also has a differtent bonnet and different stairs and platform where the cab sits on. Both machines are fully build out of poly, except for the siku tires and Joal steeraxles.

I'm gonna build the 3500 with a Barber Engineering fertilizer spreader with a 40 ft boom. The boom folds the same way as the real deal.

  7. i got quite some orders indeed Tris  ;)

There are 3 tankers who Will get an injector behind them, Those 2 are for myself, and one for Ronnie (eicher3108 on the forum). Its just to much work for the money is charge extra for an injector. i can't charge 125 euros extra over an tanker for a small injector. But when i count up my hours, material, paint an details, I'm well over the kind of money. So that's why i don't sell my tankers them with injector.

  8. I decided to make a topic about building my custom build slurry tankers. I sold a couple of models for the LCN modelfari in Zwolle. I started building a part of them allready.

I started building the chassis of the Veenhuis 9.500L slurry tanker. ( see link http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,30386.0.html )

  9. The cab problem is sorted out already. were going for a more high tech way of building for the cab.

Yes Wil, i got started on it pretty soon. Thanks for those brochures again!

To bad Tris, i won't build that Terra Gator. There are 3 modelbuilders here in the area, Ronnie Post, who is all so a member on this forum. he is the tractor, and SPFH builder of the 3, Than we got Richard van der Veen, he builds Verveat, Vredo an Terra Gator self propelled manure spreaders. and the thired, myself, i build Veenhuis machines and USA style models. like this Big A spreader. We all build in our own area of models, and we help eachother out were ever we can. Than there a fourth party, Johan Bos, he does a lot of CNC milling for the 3 of us out of poly. and is our R&D department so to speak

  10. My new project, FINALY not a Veenhuis ( it was about time  )

There is a contractor near by that runs a couple of Big A's, I was at a model fair a moths ago someone sold me 3 brochures of Big A equipment. So i started the build of the biggest one. the 4500 yesterday. The cab is a bit of a problem. is has some round shapes in it that are pretty hard to build out of poly. I used some poly piping, but it's still not how i want it to be. Anyway, the photos

A photo of the real machine.
