  1. Thanks for all the positive comments guys!!

I need to do some detailing on the model. A little paint here and there, and some extra worklights and decals, that sort of stuff.

This is the best paint job to date i have on my models. It just turned out great. I sand my model with 600 grid sanding paper be for spraying primer. 1 coat of filler, that 2 coats of primer and than sand it again with 1000 grid. Than a nother 2 or 3 layers of paint. if there is some dust under the paint, IL sand he bad spots again with 1000 grid and gif it a nother layer. The sanding with 600 and 1000 grid takes a while, but you can just see the difference in he finished paint job.

  2. Savage amount was it sold to a contractor or what??

I don't know that. The machine was just to big for the small Dutch fields at the the time. No one i spoke knows what happend to this machine after it left the VVT factory. It could well be that VVT saw the problems with the (to) big VVT 600 and made it into a VVT 300 and sold again as a "new" machine. but thank again, it could all so ended up at a scrap heap and stripped for its parts. The only thing i know is that's its a killer machine  8)

the smaller, 3 wheeled VVT 300:

  3. Thanks Tris

I don't know about a diorama. No doubt, it looks awesome together with self build models. But i just don't have the time and space to build a diorama. I rather spend my time building models than a diorama. Maybe sothing for the future  ;)

Need to build a new oil cooler behind the steps to. This one is way to small, i hate doing stuff twice  >:(

  4. Finlay i got some time to do some model building. it's getting pretty busy again at work now the weather is getting a lot better.

I started up a new project Monday, yes why not? A nother Veenhuis  ;D This is a very rare model Veenhuis. There was only one build back in the 90'ies, Nobody knows if the machine is still running ore if it ended up someware on a junkyard. Its a 5 wheel "trike" style self propelled slurry tanker. It has a capacity of 19.000L

a photo of the real machine, what a beast  8)  :

And this is 4 days of work: Like all my models the model will be build out of PVC and poly. The cab is from the VVT 400-4. only on there for the photo. Need to make some new stairs to the cab. These are a bit to big.

  5. I'm allready member for quite some time but never intreduced myself (sorry about that :-[:-[ )

I'm Geoffrey Hoving and like some other member here, I'm from Holland. I live in a small village called Borger, Its in the nother part of Holland close to the German border.

I work as a full time excavator operator at a contractor. I'm sitting at home at the moment. We have some pretty bad wether here in Holland at the moment. so theres not much work to do. So i spend my days modelbuilding insted until the wether gets better.

If been modelbuilding since i was a small kid. First from Lego. than from wood an metal, I stopped for a couple of years and picked it up about 3 years ago.

I have a small collection of models, around 75 pieces. there pretty much all special models. Some scratch builds by myself and bought scratch build models, ands some limited edition models. It mostly John Deere, New Holland and Case tractors in my collection. I don't have a lot of UH, Sikh ore Britains models any more. Sold the a couple of years ago.

that would be about it. If you got any question. feel free to ask  ;)
